Been having a party since early afternoon, BBQ going, music, shouting etc etc. Wouldn't mind so much but it's been so noisy that using the garden would be pointless. Some bellend was sitting on their shed roof on a chair. They are all singing now vv loudly which is all well and good but fed up with the woop woops now! Atomic Kitten is their choice of song at the mo. How about a bit of G n' R or something? Any Ideas for sweet revenge in the morning??

How often do they have parties? Is this a one off or do they do this every week?

UpstartCrow · 14/07/2018 23:28

Play The Butthole Surfers now, and strimmers at dawn.

EstuaryBird · 14/07/2018 23:34

If you're putting on a bit of GnR I'll come round OP - love 'em Smile

You do have my sympathies with the noise though, worse thing about summer....hope they shut up soon xx

BoogieBomb · 14/07/2018 23:41

They aren't usually too bad to be fair. I'm probably just a cranky bitch today. They have people round now and again which is fine of course. Just pissed off to have been stuck inside today as not too keen on being overlooked by said bellend and listen to the drunken bollocks. I sound a right joy - quite happy to be tolf to STFU myself but I can hear them over the TV! As for Butthole Surfers and GnR - full blast early in the AM is the plan Wink

Cut your grass at 6am. Maybe talk loudly outside and then a spot of hoovering?

9amTrain · 15/07/2018 00:05

Don't say anything just do as above suggested and cut your grass at 6am.

Whilst screaming along to ballsy rock songs.

Complete with banging pots and pans.

BalthazarImpresario · 15/07/2018 00:05

Sympathies op, people over the way having extended bbq im really tired but can't drop off and have to have window open as it's so hot.
Loads of shouting, kids included.

gluteustothemaximus · 15/07/2018 00:05

I wonder if you live down my road OP, our neighbours are doing exactly the same!

Their parents are out, the 2 kids (in their twenties) are with their mates shouting and shrieking and singing.

BoogieBomb · 15/07/2018 00:13

Hmm, the grass does look a bit long. How lovely to get outside early and prep it ready for a lovely day in the sun? Love a bit of heavy metal. Always work better with a bit off music too Grin they keep going quiet but start with the random shouting. Think someone has clearly had too much and is sounding like Rab C Nesbitt at an open bar. Windows have to be open as stupidly hot. Shitey.

I suggest playing The Cheeky Girls at full volume at 6am whilst cooking a full English breakfast on your barbecue

BoogieBomb · 15/07/2018 00:21

It just so happens that I have 2 disposable BBQ's and some mini Bratwurst to use up. Bacon can go on too to add to the tin of beans for that cowboy touch as I "boot scoot baby" to STEPS around the patio at 7am - 5,6,7,8!

classical or opera would make much more of a statement i would think

JonSnowsCloak · 15/07/2018 01:22

Definitely get the lawnmower out early;) neighbours opposite have had a party tonight, loud music/karaoke etc and a neighbour in street behind has posted a big moan on a local group as it's keeping his kids awake and said he was going to rev a motorbike outside at 7am. I commented saying please don't ;)

Giggage · 15/07/2018 03:41

I know someone who's neighbours came back at 2am and bought back, what sounded like, half of Lincoln with them and woke the entire household with their noise until they left at about 5am. He and other neighbours have a long history of disputes with this particular neighbour and their mates.

So he waited until 6:30 to let the neighbors settle in bed and started "hoovering" the rooms closest to them. By "hoovering", I mean he left the vacuum on right next to the shared, thin wall on its side so vibrated the floor too. That went on for ¾ of an hour.

He then let them sleep for 20 minutes and began to practice his electric guitar from that same room, with a stereo blasting from another bedroom that also shares that wall.

That went on for about half an hour. Then he would let them sleep for ten minutes and start with the carpet cleaner.

By 9am, the neighbours left the house to sleep elsewhere. They haven't been as noisy since.

He is an evil genius when provoked for long enough.

Minniemountain · 15/07/2018 06:46

Next door but one had a party last night. It was bareable with the windows shut, but I bet the people either side of them with dogs loved the fireworks.

PurpleFlower1983 · 15/07/2018 07:36

Every noisy job in your home just HAS to be done before 9am today...

BoogieBomb · 15/07/2018 08:44

I think the neighbours on their party wall are on a mission today too. Their dog is out barking it's head of (they usually take it in) doors have been slamming, Ive been out to shout the cats and bang about in the garden with "Get in the Ring" on. Lawnmower toward the back of the shed so obviously had to sling everything out individually to get to it. Will be firing that up shortly when I have my cuppa to take out with me. What a lovely morning! Wink

This thread is so different to the one where the neighbours had sent the op a note to say they were having a party and the op was unhappy about it. She got told that they had every right to have a party and to suck it up.

My neighbours didn’t have a party last night but the did decide to start hammering nails in to our shared wall at 1am.
Just about to start with the music.

EscapistTendencies · 15/07/2018 08:56

Why do people suggest getting the lawnmower out? That's just going to disturb all the other neighbours who were no doubt also kept awake by the party. And I say that as someone who's neighbours took over our communal green, overlooked by all our bedrooms, last night for a big party. However they kept the volume reasonable and it was a one off so I'm not about to go noising them up.

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 15/07/2018 09:01

@escapisttendencies

I was going to say that... the poor neighbours having to deal with two houses, one who keeps them up late, and another who wakes them up early.

OP you’re no better than who you are complaining about. Worse in fact as yours is fuelled by bitterness, whereas the party was just them enjoying the weather and the weekend.

BarefootHippieChick · 15/07/2018 09:30

I'd hate to live next to someone who thinks Atomic Kitten is 'music'. Hope you've been up since 7 blasting Welcome to the Jungle op 😄

BarefootHippieChick · 15/07/2018 09:35

Ah just seen you were playing Get in the Ring. They probably think you're challenging them to a fight now 😆

BoogieBomb · 15/07/2018 10:13

Chill out - lawnmower didn't go on until after 9am which by MN standards is acceptable on a Sunday! I can assure you that the other neighbours were making MUCH more noise than I did. Garden looking better at least. Hope I get to use it today Brew
