To be freaked out by the lack of rain?

Every few days it’s the same. The air feels heavy like it might, just maybe, rain. Clouds form. Rain’s on its way! Today might be the day!

Then the clouds pass over again and it’s back to weird dusty heavy warmth. It’s like having really unsatisfying sex. It’s really putting me on edge.

Don’t you all be telling me it’s rained round your way today!!

Climate change means more extreme weather, so the floods in Japan, droughts in S.Africa or Australia, Iceland has had almost non stop rain for months now.
We are very fortunate we face the Atlantic and have reasonably favourable jet stream but maybe un-stable weather will become the norm?

We've had over night drizzle not rain per say. I agree it's lurking up there and it needs to pour down. Very humid and still too warm at night, even with the fan on and windows open. Give us rain 🌧

I'm desperate for it to rain. Its been weeks and weeks. Usually we get rain daily. I had no idea how much seagull shit gets washed away by rain. The pavements are basically white (not envy)

Don't worry, schools break up next week. It'll be lashing down in no time!

It is raining here. Whoop - just took 25 gallons of water to the allotment...hopefully this should fill both water butts and a fair amount of the 20 odd trugs I've left out to fill.

It was pouring here today in Scotland. Felt very welcome. I thought of my poor parched grass getting watered.

Rained heavily on and off all day here in our part of the North West, even thundered a while back.

drizzle here in Central Scotland but a very heavy sky. it feels like it just needs to pop but actually its beginning to lighten up without dumping much water. Annoyingly, we haven't had the sun either the last few days. just warm with grey skies.

Whereabouts in London are you getting rain?

I'm SE too and not a drop despite the sky going cloudy and one solitary rumble of thunder about 10 mins ago.

OH is outside watering the garden as we speak!

Apparently it rained here for a bit today (North Yorks/Co Durham). It didn't at work (10 miles away from home) though.

Weirdest thing for us is that even though it hasn't rained for weeks we have a puddle on the road just at the end of the drive. It has been there all summer. I don't understand. No-one else is bothered, just me. Why hasn't it dried up? There is no drain in that place, its not a big puddle, but it has remained there for weeks.

Just finished raining here. Lasted approx 3 min. So now its not just hot but humid too.

Weird thing is, when I lived in Nigeria it didn't rain for 6 months at a time and that didnt bother meat all. But here it seems really wrong.

I’m in the South West. It did rain here a couple of weeks back which was great but it was just as muggy again very shortly afterwards. Everywhere is still very brown and dusty.
I agree BarbarianMum, it’s the strangeness of it that I don’t like.

No rain in Nottingham It's gone really dark and cloudy but I don't think it's actually going to rain as the clouds are passing.
