I'm distraught!

He went for a shower last night looking like a sexier version of Gerard Butler... came downstairs sans beard and looking like a teenager. No more Ricky Wilson fantasies for me Sad

I can't even look at him Shock even DD was shocked and said he looked awful!

WIBU to LTB.

I'm not sure I'd recognise my H without a beard. I've never seen him without one 🤔

StillMedusa · 09/07/2018 08:34

Mine has had a beard every since he left the RAF 12 years ago. Then last autumn I went travelling with my DD2. The day before we returned he shaved off his beard and his entire head..bald as a snooker ball.

It was not a good look Grin. Thank god they grow back quickly!!!! I love dh's beard and he looks wrong (and old!) without it!

It’s sad but, I don’t think I like my boyfriends face* 😬 I do sulk a bit if the beard goes.

*I do really, but bearded is so much better.

Ooooh my DH shaved his goatee off a couple of months ago. We both freaked out when we saw each other - He hated it too! This is terribly shallow, but I couldn’t bring myself to kiss him properly until it grew back Blush luckily, it only took a few weeks!

CambridgeAnaglypta · 09/07/2018 09:09

OP, if it helps I seem to have grown a beard which is virtually stroke-able if left more than a few days, but then again you stroking my beard would be wrong.

There's something very sexy about men with beards, it must be to do with evolution - strong, powerful, successful, etc - a bit like every woman finding Gareth Southgate sexy at the moment.

cricketmum84 · 09/07/2018 10:02

He's just going to have to grow it back. I can't look at him the same! I don't even want to touch his face Grin
DS (13) just sniggers every time he looks at him.
DD (9) keeps telling him how awful it looks
I could feel a bit sorry for the poor bugger now! He says he tried to trim a little bit off but it looked messy so he took a bit more off... and so on and so on until it was gone.
I keep looking at the brand new beard grooming kit we got him for Father's Day. Untouched and unloved still all in its box.

@CambridgeAnaglypta that's a very kind offer lol!

Yes to the Gareth Southgate effect! I wonder if I could get him to wear a waistcoat once it's grown back...?

@nancy75 gone rogue

This made me snort Grin

My partner did this once except left a tash! It was very disturbing. I'd just been out for a few hours and came back to that! Clearly I shouldn't leave him in the house on his own! It grew back quickly enough though. So not quite a LTB but if he does it again....
