Bloody bastardised it with too much oil and sugar

Take that out and put back in more milk !!!!!

You've just noticed? Grin

hidinginthenightgarden · 06/07/2018 18:11

Old news I'm afraid. Terry's chocolate orange are awful now as well.

Fluffyrainbows · 06/07/2018 18:12

It's a great shame.

nikimummy13 · 06/07/2018 18:14

I haven't bought or eaten a Creme Egg since they took over. One of my childhood favourite ruined. So sad that greed has to drive all business.

RoboticSealpup · 06/07/2018 18:17

I've always found Cadbury's chocolate gross so maybe I should try it now and see if there's been an improvement.

CorianderDestroysFamilies · 06/07/2018 18:21

I agree, I’ve tried so so hard as my scales will tell you to pretend it tastes the same but it doesn’t. I found an Easter egg the other day and it just tasted of sugar. Aldi’s dairyfine chocolate is a good substitute though.

AsAProfessionalFekko · 06/07/2018 18:23

Tastes like vomity cheese. Not good.

I wonder why they did it? Only Americans like American chocolate (I saw a TV programmes about it and the US chocolate came bottom with non American tasters).

FriggingMardyCow · 06/07/2018 18:40

No longer buy chocolate with palm oil in it, so waxy. Bleurgh.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 06/07/2018 18:42

Just wait until we start getting the chlorine washed chicken....

Ethylred · 06/07/2018 19:16

Wow, how could it be made any worse?

AsAProfessionalFekko · 06/07/2018 19:49

They could always make the bars bigger?

goldopals · 06/07/2018 20:29

I'm not sure if they do this to all chocolate... Hershey's add a chemical called Butyric Acid to their chocolate which in it's purest form smells exactly like Parmesan cheese.

Munchyseeds · 06/07/2018 20:47

Strangly, still made in canada to the original recipe, no palm oil, tastes and smells as it should.
Shame its such a long way to go!Sad

Kpo58 · 06/07/2018 20:50

I don't blame the Americans for this. I blame those who sold Cadbury in the first place.

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 06/07/2018 20:51

I haven’t noticed a change in Terrys choc orange. However... Cadbury’s creme eggs are rank now 🤢😭

Ceruleanblue0 · 06/07/2018 20:53

I find most chocolate doesn’t taste like proper chocolate anymore. It’s just sugar now with very little cocoa flavour.

It’s a good thing I suppose because I never buy it any more.

FedUpLetDown · 06/07/2018 20:55

There must be somewhere that sells original recipe stuff in the uk. I’d buy sooo much of it. Can someone start a crowdfunder to open a chocolate factory that makes knockoff original Cadbury’s. I remember when they used to bring out the massive bars in Woolworths at Christmas time. They were absolutely bloody lush. I couldn’t eat a normal sized bar of Dairy Milk now. It’s so slimy and tasteless. Sigh.

gamerchick · 06/07/2018 20:56

I 'think' twirls from Ireland are the original recipe. Don't quote me though.

ChocAuVin · 06/07/2018 21:02

YANBU.

Cadbury is now utterly rank. Vile. Greasy-yet-powdery, overly-sweet, bendy, gacky shite.

I had the misfortune of being given a handful of Cadbury Roses recently. Bore zero resemblance to actual Cadbury Roses of yore.

They’ve fucked up one of the few properly good British foodstuffs.

Blarg.

FatBarry · 06/07/2018 21:07

They have all gone, Cadburys, Terry's, Nestle (used to love kitkats when Rowntrees made them) Toblerone, Thorntons

Nothing, just nothing tastes the same from Cadburys Roses to Thorntons Continental to Toffee Crisp to the Chocolate Orange.

We now have nasty sweet sugary, greasy shite instead of luscious, creamy velvety delicious chocolate.

ToadOfSadness · 06/07/2018 21:27

Waitrose chocolate is still like chocolate, last time I bought it there was no palm oil, best check though, just in case it has changed.

PinkBuffalo · 06/07/2018 21:30

Cadburys has been bad for a while. Tub of roses at Christmas was my fave, but haven't got one the last couple of years because it was so horrible I couldn't eat them Sad

ItsalmostSummer · 06/07/2018 21:32

The commonwealth countries still have great Cadbury’s but the UK Cadbury’s is still better than Hershey’s.

Munchyseeds · 06/07/2018 21:46

Someone gave us Hersheys kisses as a present.....taste just like vomit
M&S giant choc buttons are ok (ish)

Babybearsporij · 06/07/2018 22:11

YANBU OP. Ritter Sport is where it's at for me now. The chocolate in their honey salt almonds bar is absolutely perfect. The white chocolate doesn't burn your throat either. They've got a load on sale at LIDL at the moment.
