Hi, my ds is 3 and being sent for blood tests as he doesn’t jump. Anyone had experience of this please?

What a pp said ^^ about consent. I don't understand why you'd allow someone to draw blood from your child without asking why? They have also failed to gain informed consent and you could complain about this. Hope your ds is okay.

My ds has had lots and lots of blood tests including genetic and microarray. They do take a long time to come back. Here the blood can only be taken at hospital and its done by special nurses who are so good at doing it without the little one even realising. Try not to stress.

Did they tell you what they were testing for or just generally?

He’s not had them yet.

DS2 had speech delay and also didn’t jump with two feet at 3. He’s now 4 and jumps like a maniac and never shuts up!

They didn't actually tell me no. They said just testing for disorders to help explain things. (he has tics that no one can find cause for, he's had a brain scan too!)
