AIBU to fancy Frank Skinner?

If it wasn’t for DH, I’d be asking him out. He loves the Fall, like me, and was even brave enough to interview Mark E Smith, and he presenrs the Portrait/Landscape Artist of the year programme while being absolutely charming and amusing.
Oh Frank, with your twinkly eyes and hilarity, I could imagine “great things” between us!
My other quirky crushes are Saul from “Better Call Saul”, Superhans from “Peepshow” and Malcolm Tucker from “The Thick of it”.
Anyone else?

I love an auto didact and I love a pun as much as he does. And I really enjoy him on Absolute Radio with Emily Dean.But his standup is horrid-sexual in a slimy creepy way. Ick.

I was a fan, until I read his autobiography. Not a fan anymore, very funny book but now I look at him in a different light.

YABVU because he’s vile!
Years ago, on some TV show, he made a dreadful ‘joke’ about women being raped. I can’t remember the exact wording, but I think it was in relation to the war in Afghanistan.
I’ve made a point of never watching anything that he’s in again.
Plus, he’s really ugly and creepy.

His biography is really grim. Someone should have taken him aside and said, "Seriously Frank, don't go there."

I like him on the Sky artist thing in his nice Paul Smith shirts though.

Baddiel, on the other hand, was always such a fake "lad". I can't bear his plummy, superior voice.

thinking how he was 20 years ago - pretty much joking about shagging any female fans however unattractive they were. I was amazed that he sees himself as religious as he was openly awful about women on his shows - guessing OP is too young to have seen that. He's somehow escaped being seen in the Jim Davidson mould...

@W1neNot I read it years ago so can't remember enough detail to give valid examples, but I remember thinking how fucking awful he was as I read it. Even years after reading it every time I see him I think URGH.

Yes, what was in the book ? ? I like him on Absolute radio on Sat morning, but find his stand up a bit uncomfortable.

I think he's fucking disgusting. A fuckwit guy I used to know really liked the guy. They shared an obsession with anal sex. He one told me that "Frank Skinner's idea of heaven is to have anal sex with a 16-year old on a bed covered in money, whilst listening to Elvis." (According to his autobiography, I think. Or maybe some interview.) Made me think of that movie, I think it's called idiocracy (?) where two dimwits meet for the first time. "I like sex and money." "No way! I like sex and money, too!"

I have the book but it's been years since I read it. Seem to remember distinctly iffy attitudes towards women. Weren't he and David Baddiel both obsessed with anal sex?

Have you seen him in real life? I have, when filming the great British portrait show. He is very short, shorter than you'd think when you see him on tv. He looks like a weird wizened old man, very small and odd looking, like from the hobbit. Seriously.

I know Lee Macka very little and I know others who know him really well and have worked for him and say he is lovely and a real family man and gent to work with.
Last year a friend who does not know him at all went to see not going out filmed and said he spend ages interacting with the audience and answering questions.
