Greetings folks. Perhaps I'm just too brain-addled but I can't find this classic thread that still makesw me laugh. Have seen the threads on classics and what made you laugh the most - lots of ppl referencing it, but I can't find that htread itself.
Please tell me it hasn't been deleted?!?!?!
My new friend (hopefully) at work has just returned from mat leave of her 2nd child, with a gap of 17 years since her 1st, so she doesn't know about MN. I think she needs to read that thread - can anyone help?
Fank oo. (See?! My brain is mush)

OP posts:

There are some references to it on this recent thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/3295968-To-ask-what-the-funniest-thing-youve-read-on-Mumsnet-is?pg=1

AnnUnderTheFryingPan · 05/07/2018 11:29

Wasn’t it The Second Coming’s thread? You should be able to search it. (Although she was quite a prolific poster before she was banned so might take a while).

LackBladder · 05/07/2018 14:16

All Tsc’s posts have gone, so you won’t find it.

AnnUnderTheFryingPan · 05/07/2018 14:21

Aw that’s a shame.

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 05/07/2018 14:49

I dont know where it is but the supersoaker thread made me sign up Grin

Rufustheyawningreindeer · 05/07/2018 14:50

I mean i dont know where the minge one is

Supersoaker is in classics

bringincrazyback · 05/07/2018 15:22

Just so long as you don't snap and fart over it. (Still laughing about that 2 days later, how much of a child am I... Grin)

LongSummerDays · 05/07/2018 15:32

Lordy don't begin with the snap and fart thing again. It wasn't even funny the first time.

TheThirdOfHerName · 05/07/2018 15:33

I think all of TSC's posts were deleted. It was possibly my favourite MN anecdote though.

Fevertree · 05/07/2018 15:35

Your minge was my favourite thread ever and I still laugh about it now. So sad 😔

Chesntoots · 05/07/2018 15:46

It was my favourite thread too and it still makes me snigger when I think about it.

Merryoldgoat · 05/07/2018 15:50

@Longsummerdays

I really didn’t get why people found that so funny - it was so obviously a typo. I can’t believe how long it went on for.

halfwitpicker · 05/07/2018 15:51

Where is the thread though???

Sparklingbrook · 05/07/2018 15:57

I think it's better to just start reading the live threads if you are new.

The dead ones in Classics are a bit Marmite. Plus it might make new people believe things like Penis Beaker are the benchmark for entertainment around here. Sad

Apparently it wasn't a typo, but no, I didn't either.

henpeckedinchief · 05/07/2018 16:04

@Merryoldgoat it wasn't a typo! OP came back on to that thread and confirmed that she had intended to write snapped and farted, and that it was because she had IBS.

The reason it was so funny to me was that OP just couldn't see why everyone found it so funny that she had included it as a detail despite the fact that it had nothing to do with her AIBU. It was just such an incongruous bit of world building 😂

Merryoldgoat · 05/07/2018 16:06

Oh god, really? How bizarre! Still not funny but I was obv wrong about the typo.

Lalliella · 05/07/2018 17:05

Why was TSC banned?

Shumpalumpa · 05/07/2018 17:40

I thought it was quite funny but I don't believe for a minute that OP didn't use 'snapped and farted' deliberately or why everyone found it funny.

She knew what she was doing and fair play.
