Recommendations for holiday destinations for first time in Asia with kids

Any recommendations on locations in Asia for a family holiday next Easter? Kids are 7 and 9, and this would be our first time in Asia. Interested in wildlife, snorkelling and the jungle. We'll just have a week to spend, as second week will be in Malaysian Borneo for a family wedding.

Can you just extend your time there and go a few different places other than where the wedding is. Snake island for snorkelling, Sabah for the jungle?

Sri Lanka. It has everything you’re looking for along with a shedload of history and varied landscapes, plus it’s extremely child friendly. Very safe too (plus high standards in hotels, good food etc).
