To think it's possible to lose 10lb in 10 days

I'm going on holiday in less than a fortnight and my summer clothes don't fit!

I can lose over half a stone in that time, can't I? Preferably without the need to get Novovirus.

Positive stories and tips welcome!

Sure.

800 cals per day, water and will power.

Yep, easy but boring - veg soup, salmon, avocado & eggs twice a day, and a banana for breakfast. Fuck load of water & herbal tea.

Thank you margaritas. Maybe the kick up the bahookie that I need.

The James Duncan diet has already been mentioned on this thread and am sure there have been negative comments but when I was roughly your weight I did it for 5 days and lost 10lbs. Put on a lb again after I went back to normal eating (obviously not stuffing myself). It really does work if you have a bit to lose. Personally I don’t think it works when you are down to your last 1/2 stone though.

Fuck me, the utter shite recommended on this thread is staggering. Starvation diets, detoxes, crap laden shakes...

But hey, it's only 10 days. Who cares the OP won't be able to fit in her clothes mid holiday? Too many of you don't.

@NotgoingoutNotstayingin, just buy clothes that fit. Your body is going to store every last calorie you consume on holiday as fat if you starve it for the next 10 days.

As someone has correctly pointed out: 10lbs fat loss equals a 35000 calorie deficit. How can you possibly eat 3500 fewer calories a day when you only eat maybe 2000 a day normally? Eat minus 1500 calories through the medium of just throwing up? It's not as if 10lbs of water weight is going to make you drop a dress size. And even if it does, holiday food is laden with sodium so the water weight will go back on in a very short space of time.

Some lovely replies - thank you.

I do agree that long term switch to healthy eating and exercise is the way to go. It's just that I'm in such a rut of being fed up so eat crap then hate myself so eat some more crap that I feel like I need a kick start. And I'd heard that the BSD isa healthy way to do that.

Can't do Dukan as I'm vegetarian.

Where is the BSD board on here - is it the 5:2 thread?

You should really read the book before starting to do BSD. Important to know what you’re doing and why.

(Am also veggie and find it brilliant.)

My first day on the James Duncan diet, and I'm amazed at how little hunger I have felt.Who knew grapefruit was so filling!
