The above is a quote from The Lord of the Rings, The Fellowship of the Ring, said by Lord Elrond. At this stage, with POTUS practically pissing off every ally the US has while cosying up with several dictators, it seems quite apt.

I think Trump is talking to BMW about bringing back this model, the Nazi R71 SS. He is trying to entice them with a government contract to supply them to ICE.

Cohen seems to have changed his twitter page to remove references to Trump

Barn door, horse comes to mind. But in reality, I don't trust Cohen any further than I can spit in a hurricane. His apparent volte-face re 'loyalty' to Scrotus may be no more than a ploy to secure a pardon by making Scrotus et al think he's going to flip. Birds of a feather, those two.

Unusual but not unheard of. What makes this so different is the deep suspicion at home about the nature of this president's relationship with Russia's president. The bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee just concluded that the latter tried to help the former win the election.

'Many of the nonprofits, corporations and religious groups watching over migrant children detained at the southwest border have been in this business for years — and they have a history of political connections, donating millions of dollars to Democrats and Republicans alike.'

'A man and woman found unconscious in Wiltshire were poisoned by Novichok - the same nerve agent that poisoned ex-Russian spy Sergei Skripal, police say.

The couple, believed to be Charlie Rowley and Dawn Sturgess, are in a critical condition having been found unconscious at a house on Saturday.

Police say no one else has presented with the same symptoms.'

Meanwhile in North Korea - ‘We Hate Japan’ edition: North Korea really has a deep distrust and hatred of Japan that would seem grounded the events of history. Any action of the Japanese is viewed with suspicion and any reaction is fiery and loaded with the threat of war.

KCNA Reveals True Picture of Japan behind Its Call for "Dialogue" and "Human Rights"

Pyongyang, July 4 (KCNA) -- The Japanese reactionaries still remain unchanged in their hostility toward the DPRK despite the flow of time.

On June 28, the Japanese customs authorities ransacked bags of students of Kobe Korea High School on their way back after visiting the DPRK and seized not only souvenirs from their families and relatives in the homeland but also sportswear emblazoned with letter "Korea" and the national flag of the DPRK and even daily necessities.

The things possessed by the students did not come under the items for sanctions unreasonably imposed on the DPRK by the Japanese government and, therefore, there was no reason whatsoever for the Japanese customs authorities to keep students from going home beyond midnight and seize their possessions.

The unreasonable persecution is a revelation of hysteric fit of those who are left alone, being marginalized by the strong trend of the times toward peace in the Korean peninsula and the world. It is an intolerable barbarous act against humanity in wanton violation of human rights of Koreans in Japan, humanitarianism and international law.

Throughout history, the Japanese reactionaries have regarded the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) as the first target of hostile policy toward the DPRK and have been involved in a number of conspiratorial and persecution acts. But it is the first time for them to seize even the belongings of Korean students in Japan and lynch even the children's mind.

This has brought to light the true picture of craftiness and moral vulgarity of Japan, the dirtiest human rights abuser in the world violating the elementary humanitarianism and humanity in order to attain its criminal ambition.

At a meeting of the UN Human Rights Council held in Geneva a day before the occurrence of the case, the Japanese side refuted the DPRK representative's just assertion that "Koreans in Japan are discriminated at tacit connivance of the government in Japan", terming it a "groundless assertion" and contending that "there is not the legal system of discriminating Koreans in Japan" and that "Japan has willingness to overcome mutual mistrust".

Does Japan have anything to say before the conscience of the world today?

This is the dirty picture of islanders paying lip-service to "dialogue" and calling for "sanctions and pressure" behind. They are beautifying Japan as "human rights champion" in front of the international community and committing all sorts of acts of national discrimination and crimes against humanity behind the scene.

We can never tolerate the Japanese reactionaries' fascist act against children of Koreans in Japan, overseas citizens of the dignified DPRK.

The Japanese reactionaries have to face up to the towering grudge of the Koreans, apologize for the brutal human rights abuse and immediately stop unwarranted discrimination and persecution of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan. -0-

“The House Is Tired of Getting Burned”: As the Border Crisis Festers, Republicans Fear Trump Will Betray Them on Immigration.'

'With the proper assurances, Trump could give lawmakers cover to pass an immigration reform bill. But Republicans have no faith that he won’t betray them if they stick their necks out for him again. “No one can ever be sure what his priority is going to be the next day,” one G.O.P. adviser says—the party or his presidency?'

Worth keeping in mind that @brithume, who says in this tweet that Democrats “don’t love” America, is the longtime former anchor of “Special Report” -- someone who claimed for years to deliver the news to viewers in a fair & balanced way.

@brithume
'I deleted an earlier tweet that said Democrats don’t love America. It was based on a Gallup poll that found only a minority of Dems now very proud of this country. A number of people said they think that’s not a fair conclusion from the poll. I agree and thus the deletion.'

'Rep. Jim Jordan's office will contact Capitol Hill police after receiving emails from an alleged victim of sexual abuse at Ohio State University when the Ohio Republican was an assistant wrestling coach, a source within the office told CNN Wednesday.

The source added that the messages were vaguely threatening in nature in part because of the amount of emails sent, and that Jordan did not respond to the emails because he felt the man was "bullying him."

The Trump baby balloon has been approved for the London visit

I appreciate the sentiment but I can't help wondering if it's giving him too much importance

As it is, I think he will be voted in a second time and American voters will feel even more defensive of him
