To wonder how people drink

2.2L a day (the recommended amount)??

Seems quite stupid to ask but for the love of god, I cannot drink more than a pint. I feel like my body is drowning!

I did manage 2L once and my toilet time quadrupled!

I've brought a 2.2L water bottle so I've no excuses but I nearly fainted when I saw the size of it!!

Help me! I think I'm slowly killing myself from the lack of fluids.

My GP said it should be very pale yellow verging on being clear. If it’s clear all the time then it means overhydrating and you could be losing valuable salts. My pee is only cider colour first thing in morning when I haven’t had a drink for 9 hours

This thread just reminded me to have a drink, I've not drank anything today Blush

According to the 0.033 x each kg I should be drinking 7 glasses (my glasses carry 400ml) of fluid a day. I drink 2 glasses on a good day and probably half a glass on most days. And don't really eat food which has a particularly high water content either. I should look like Madge from Benidorm Grin

I'm sure I drink at least that. Also feel odd if I don't. I do go to the toilet frequently but O think that's not a bad thing. My wee is very nice and pale and doesnt smell much - tmi??? Grin

A pint a day is not enough though as your wee is telling you! Just aim to drink more. 2 litres is too much for you, fine, but try 1 litre and keep adding more till your wee is a pale colour. You are just clearly used to being dehydrated!

I drink 2 litres a day minimum, if you break it up into 250ml glasses and drink one every hour for 8 hours, you have managed your 2 litres.
I feel sluggish if I dont drink 2 litres now, I used to only manage 1 litre if I was lucky, sure I waa going for a pee quite frequently when I upped the consumption, but its fine now.
Not drinking enough fluids can lead to serious kidney problems too.
No food with meals, always half an hour before a meal.

I never drink water. Drink lots of green tea though. It always makes me feel a bit full/sick if I have more than a few gulps.
Skin is clear and hydrated and I'm regular on the loo, never have uti's.

How bad is it that I don't drink water?

AniSL · 27/06/2018 16:43

GreatDuckCookery I miss my green teas, I used to drink them religiously but have such a low red blood cell count because of it that I have been told not to drink it.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 27/06/2018 16:50

Oh no that's a shame AniSL. I didn't realise it could cause that.

SunnyCoco · 27/06/2018 16:52

Yes OP if your wee is dark you need to drink more
I don’t know how you can’t 😂 I’m one of those who could happily chug that whole bottle by 9am
