Went dress shopping saturday, found THE dress, my mum was one of the people that came with me, I said no pics.
Today my sil whats capped me say she loves my dress and how shes suprised that style suits me
Say my mother sent them a pic.

Called mother, she says cheekily she had sneaked a couple of pics and not to worry, she has only showed my dad and my bro and sil.

I'd be so annoyed and would change the dress without her knowing

Tell her you've changed it and send a pic of the 'new' dress.

I’d be a bit upset but I think it’s a bit much to want to change the dress because of it. Does it really matter if people know what it looks like?

If this is just another in a long line of secrets your mum has shared, then stop sharing secrets with her. If it’s not, then she’s just really excited about the beautiful dress her daughter has picked for her wedding.

For me, it wouldn't actually bother me about the dress, but the lack of trust it's created would be the thing that upset me.
What happens if OP becomes pregnant? Can she now trust that if she tells her mum first, that her mum won't then tell everyone?
The bottom line is that it wasn't her 'news'to share, and she should have respected her daughter's wishes.

I would be surprised and a bit flattered that they might be interested.
If my mother knew for sure that I wanted it to be kept a secret and broadcast the picture I would feel irritated and let down. I'd get over it though.
