Andrew Marr and Robert Harris child sex abuse

Is anyone watching Andrew Marr?

He did a hilarious interview challenging Boris Becker on his lifestyle, money management and involvement with African politics. He politely ripped him to shreds. It was fascinating.

Then he asks Robert Harris about working with Roman Polanski, child sex abuser. Harris is all: why should I change my view of him because the zeitgeist had changed? The only countries he wasn't allowed in were Britain and the US. No one told me not to work with him. He hasn't done anything since.

I know Marr does a nice job of modelling assent in these interviews, but I am pretty appalled that he didn't pursue this: no one told me, he didn't do anything since. It's not hard to say "what, he didn't get prosecuted for child abuse while you worked with him, so that's OK?", or "did you know what crime prevented him from entering the US or UK?" or "the zeitgeist up till this year was accepting of child sex abuse?"

Aibu to expect public figures to be properly challenged on their moral culpability?
