To think an action movie about a burning tower block with a family trapped inside is in poor taste?

You do know it takes longer than a year to get a film out, right?

And its not the first film like this. Towering Inferno is years and years old.

Quartz2208 · 21/06/2018 07:20

For the UK yes being so close but in the US where it’s made not at all

PotteringAlong · 21/06/2018 07:21

Isn’t it just a remake of towering inferno? It’s a USA film; not made in the U.K. and probably filmed 2 years ago.

KirstenRaymonde · 21/06/2018 07:23

If the trailer is just coming out the film will have been being made for at least 3-4 years.
The US in general probably isn’t aware of Grenfell and wouldn’t base their film making or releasing on it.

No

brummiesue · 21/06/2018 07:24

Yes so let's not make films about plane crashes, terrorist attacks, ships sinking.......Hmm

bbcessex · 21/06/2018 07:25

Definitely made at least 2 years ago and obviously not in the U.K., , but I’m with you OP - I think it shouldn’t go on UK Cinema release.

No longer classes as entertainment in light of what’s happened.

Soloooo · 21/06/2018 07:26

I know what you mean but there are films about 9/11, Titanic and other disasters/tragedies.

dudsville · 21/06/2018 07:27

I remember when ben afLeck postponed the release of something like Gone Girl because of a recent event. But I'm sure this isn't always possible.

LagunaBubbles · 21/06/2018 07:28

Where would you stop though?
