I know its like asking how long a piece of string is but is anyone able to give me even the slightest idea of how much it might be to convert a 2 bed bungalow into a 'proper' house. We've been to look round one today and want to put an offer in but it'd only work for us if we can convert. I cannot find anywhere or anyone that can give us an idea of what it may be. I know it depends on a lot but are we talking 50k, 150k, more? I have a feeling it will go quick but I don't know if we can offer without having a clue

Anyone done this and prepared to tell me how much it cost and how long it too? Thank you!

Lots

I doubt you would get any change out of £100k plus you would need a structural engineer to ascertain if foundations etc capable of supporting a second floor, plus I reckon getting planning permission could be difficult.

have a look here

Maybe not that page but that sort of site

Ummmm would it not be easier to move to a bigger house?

Well our loft conversion cost £30kvband that was one room and a bathroom. Depending on size you must be looking at £100-£150k?

Sorry but what’s your AIBU?

There’s a whole section of Chat that deals with questions like this

I know people post for traffic here but at least pose a question
