If you are in the north west and like Brie, Port Salut and Camembert....I have a shit tonne of it to get rid of! I have about 3kg of a 5kg Brie left, half a 3kg Port salut and a pretty much untouched 2kg Camembert. I can throw in some grapes and stale crackers. I’ve already given some away to anyone I can think of up here!

Or any recipes for Brie that don’t involve just dipping bread into it or pasta?!

There’s an app called Olio where you can post extra food you have. Most posts are solved within 2 hours!

ArmySal · 20/06/2018 12:43

You took your cheese and you left!

Chandler Bing? Which word is substituted for cheese though, can't remember? Grin

Emmageddon · 20/06/2018 12:46

Freeze it. Or donate it. Or cook with it.

DiscombobulatedWomble · 20/06/2018 12:49

How much cheese can you take on a plane? I've a friend flying from Leeds to Southampton this weekend Grin

hididdlyhoneighborino · 20/06/2018 12:50

@ArmySal yes- but it was eggs Grin

lizzlebizzle33 · 20/06/2018 12:52

@ArmySal it's eggs 😂

DianaPrincessOfThemyscira · 20/06/2018 12:54

I love cheese.
I’m in Liverpool.
Have car.

Seriously though if you’re not too far I’ll relieve you of some cheese! I’ll bring you a coffee and cake to swap Grin

ArmySal · 20/06/2018 12:54

Thank you! Could picture him saying it Grin

FizzyGreenWater · 20/06/2018 12:55

But what happened OP? Why are you buried under a mountain of cheese???

Monr0e · 20/06/2018 12:55

I'm in the north west, I practically live on cheese. Whereabouts are you?? hopeful

sirmione16 · 20/06/2018 12:59

OP how have you ended up in this cheese heavy situation?!

Skittlesandbeer · 20/06/2018 12:59

To be clear, I now hate you all a bit.

I’m on THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WORLD, in the middle of the night. While I could probably ring around and get all manner of illicit substances delivered to my house, I am fairly certain I CANNOT GET STINKY LUSCIOUS CHEESE DELIVERED.

The gig economy is missing a trick here.

It just got worse, by the way. I was doing a mental inventory of my fridge’s cheese options. There’s a bag of spindly Parmesan rinds I keep for flavouring soups, and my DD’s lunchbox ‘cheese ‘n’ crackers’ packs. The kind where a true cheese lover would prefer to eat the wrapper.

So no, apparently I’m not sashaying downstairs in a silken robe to gorge on drippy Brie, bathed in dim fridge light, Nigella-style.

I am bereft. I have no sympathy for the be-cheesed.

MuckyMare · 20/06/2018 13:03

I would love some cheese. I have mushroom pasta and no cheese to make a sauce hopeful you are super local to me!

FizzyGreenWater · 20/06/2018 13:03

Spindly Parmesan rinds for flavouring soups?!

This has never occurred to me before!!!!!!

Ollivander84 · 20/06/2018 13:12

If you're in Preston, I'm taking all the Brie Grin

Wheresmeredithgrey · 20/06/2018 17:20

Sorry!!!

We are in West Yorkshire......

Food bank won’t take it sadly.

It’s from a beautiful cheesemonger.

A bit of a sad backstory to go along with the cheese but it hasn’t affected the taste.

TheSpottedZebra · 20/06/2018 17:33

Oh, sorry re sad back story.

Wishing you well.

SparklyMagpie · 20/06/2018 17:58

Oh I'm in Cheshire :(

Nervermind,I'm sure someone can take it of your hands :)

Sorry to hear there's a sad backstory. Hope you're ok OP?

Oopsmeagain · 20/06/2018 18:00

My three favourite cheeses, shame am nowhere near you ☹️

wedothebestbbqs · 20/06/2018 18:04

Are they your wedding cheeses from the weekend ?

dannydyerismydad · 20/06/2018 18:04

I'm in the south east. Could you deliver (light hearted) (maybe)

possumgoddess · 20/06/2018 18:19

Freeze it in smaller blocks and then use it for cooking.

kickingk16 · 20/06/2018 18:19

If you tweet Adam Smith (@MrJunkFoodChef) he can probably tell you if they could use it at one of the Junk food cafes - they have ones around Leeds and one in Saltaire. There are also some of the Great Get Together gatherings happening this weekend around Leeds so you could rock up and offer some free cheese at one of those perhaps?

Justonedayatatime11 · 20/06/2018 18:33

Are you anywhere near Goole?

DontTouchTheMoustache · 20/06/2018 18:41

Omg I'm in west Yorkshire and obsessed with cheese!!! Gimme
