If you are in the north west and like Brie, Port Salut and Camembert....I have a shit tonne of it to get rid of! I have about 3kg of a 5kg Brie left, half a 3kg Port salut and a pretty much untouched 2kg Camembert. I can throw in some grapes and stale crackers. I’ve already given some away to anyone I can think of up here!

Or any recipes for Brie that don’t involve just dipping bread into it or pasta?!

OP posts:

Ooo, I forgot my favourite ! Triangles of brie dipped in egg and breadcrumbs and deep fried:D served with cranberry sauce!

Doyoumind · 20/06/2018 11:01

That's a lot of cheese. Where are you?

Velvetbee · 20/06/2018 11:01

‘be-cheesed’ is my new favourite word. Now, how do I work it into conversation?

ArmySal · 20/06/2018 11:05

I'm full on drooling, I need to hide this thread.

Freeze it. cut it into sensible sizes, wrap in cling film & then again in a proper sealed freezer bag.
Brie is fine defrosted slowly,
the others sometimes crack, but tastes the same & fine for cooking.

Ohhhh I want cheese. I’m near Preston today, I can bring a plate and my toddler. He’ll help lots too.

Stephisaur · 20/06/2018 11:09

Ooooh Brie, Cranberry and grape sandwiches...

Bit gutted that I'm too far away because I would be all over that Port Salut!

When I visited a friend in Manchester she took me to a cafe called Real Junk cafe do you have one near you? The food was amazing and felt good knowing you're not wasting food.
