To be annoyed in gp surgery of people letting kids run riot.

At gp surgery with baby.. (who is asleep at mo)
Afew parents with kids.. General noise as to be expected however there's two mums.. Chatting about ' Saturday night' ignoring their kids who are running riot. Screeching.. Throwing books and tearing up the info leaflets. They are approx 3yrs old.
Not once have the parents tried to get them to sit or to quiet down a tad.

I get that they are probably bored but surely the parents realise they're being toads

Totally unacceptable. YANBU.

Yanbu. It shows a lack of respect for others, who may not feel well. You expect some noise with a child, and maybe a little run about to stretch legs, and then occupy them. If I am taking a child with me I take something for them to do. If the child gets hurt they will probably complain and blame the surgery.

YANBU. Is there no receptionist around who could tactfully intervene? That shouldn't be allowed in a place where other people might be feeling unwell.
