OK I qas having that Sunday sadness feeling and now I'm feeling casually pissed off and jealous because I went on FB and an ad popped up featuring this woman (Tammy Hemsomething apparently).

How is it possible to look like this?! What I mean is is this the result of just working out or what? But how can she get her body fat down so low for the waist, but not on her bum or tits?!

I have absolutely no idea but my default isn't to assume she isn’t.

If posters spoke about an overweight woman’s photo in the same way there would be outrage about how there is more to a woman than her physical appearance. But that doesn’t seem to apply when that woman is skinny.

If a woman - or man - of any shape or size made a habit of posting 'look at meeee!' photos of themselves in their underwear on social media, I would think it a pretty vacuous pursuit. Not that the person is neccessarily stupid, but I do think "selife culture" is narcissistic and frivolous.

You may continue to think that's evidence of 'jealousy' or 'bitchiness' if it suits you. I'm not going to refrain from pointing out the narcissism of it all just because the person has a xx chromosome.

If her bottom is a result of intensive training to build up the muscle hugely then I wonder what happens if you stop, due to injury, change of lifestyle, not enough hours in your day?
You'd lose the muscle mass so would your skin be all stretched or would it go back to how it was before you started your regime?

I often wonder what happens to extreme body builders if they stop training and lose all their muscle mass.
I know if large implants are removed then there is a problem with excess skin where it has stretched over time.

To paraphrase the usual weight-related threads on here: ‘we’ve lost sight of what normal looks like’.

I don't neccessarily think that she's been surgically 'enhanced'. Apparantly in other photos she looks more normally proportioned but I can't be arsed (!) to look. I reckon she's just angled her arse to show it to its 'best' advantage, and chosen this pic out of god knows how many. Though how anyone could consider this a desirable look is beyond me. If people are wondering if her body could only be attained through surgery or photoshop, that to me means it is not a good look.

I wonder what she'll look like when she's 60. What if those arse implants need to come out??

How can her bottom be the result of "intensive training"? Intensive training would mean she'd burn fat? The bit that makes your arse stick out is fat, not muscle. Otherwise triathletes would have similar huge arses?

I think it’s having the brain cells to know that for a good proportion of the population will never look like that because it’s not normal and educating especially the younger generation that being so body obsessed isn’t a good thing.

Gretol in theory you could bulk up just the gluteal muscles in your bottom by intensive repetitive exercises for hours which only use those muscles. Why you'd want to squat and lunge for hours everyday so you have a really big bottom is beyond me though.

Gretol - triathletes and bodybuilders train in very different ways.

Doing weights that specifically target yuor butt (which seems to be very popular at the moment) isn't realted to sporting performance

I’ve not read TFT but I already see people saying plastic surgery. Tammy has been open about having her boobs done, but everything else is through hard work at the gym and kitchen.

I think that people who take care of their bodies and eat well, exercise etc. are great role models. But not once you start having cosmetic surgery.

I showed her to dd18 who said something I won't repeat then said there's no difference between her and super thin models. Both have an abnormal body shape that takes the best part of your waking life to achieve. Sad.

The accusations of jealousy and envy are the most depressing thing about this thread. Its as if some posters just can't get their heads round the idea that some women wouldn't want to look like that. It's confusing them to the point of anger. Again, sad.
