So, I firstly will admit to watching and enjoying many a Youtuber- for ideas, escapism etc.
But, when the partner of a VERY successful Youtuber (let’s call her Z) who is also a millionaire, does a challenge to live on £1 for 24 hours and completes said challenge zipping around town in a £50,000 car, blags free stuff from a famous donut shop (which he eventually wastes anyway!) and then does a bit of ridiculous “personal shopping” on day of challenge, like come on, come on!!
I hate millionaires doing this type of challenge, NOT to raise awareness of how many poor families live every day, but for a challenge: a silly YouTube video which will- ironically- then earn them several thousand pounds.
Some of us have actually had to do this “live on £1 for 24 hours”, for real. Not to earn ourselves dosh, which we then wouldn’t even consider donating to those in need.
For all too many, this is their real life.
