To give DP a handbag

Does anyone else have a partner who tries to put all their crap in your handbag when you’re going out?

We’re off to a party tonight and I am using a very naice little designer bag, DP is annoyed as he always tries to ram all his things into my handbag when we go out... keys, phone, chewing gum etc.
Bag nicely fits my phone, a house key, some money and a few bits of my makeup like powder and a lipstick but nothing more.
I’ve told him to carry his stuff himself but he thinks I should use a different bag to accommodate his stuff Shock

No. This bag matches my outfit perfectly, I’m not a cart horse and he can get to fuck in my opinion.
What does he do when he goes out without me?
WIBU to give him another handbag and tell him to carry it himself? Grin

I give my dh my stuff for his pockets

DH has a satchel bag if we’re out in the day (or sometime a backpack) for his stuff and I have my handbag.

If we’re going on a night out, he’ll pop most of his stuff in his pockets. He might occasionally ask if I have room for his glasses in my bag, but if not he has them too.

I think this stems from when we first got together and I refused to carry a handbag (didn’t see the point, I only ever had cash and a house key) so we both just carried our own stuff.

DH does it as well. I told him he needed a “ man bag “ but no, that’s far too effeminate for his liking. The hilarious thing is, when I have got him to hold my handbag for a second, he has no trouble slinging it over his shoulder and walking around with it. LOL

Surely all he needs is his phone and money if you've got a house key, they should fit in his pocket

Just saw this on FB and it reminded me of this thread.

I carry a fold up shopper bag in mine, if I get asked to carry his crap I hand it over to him.

I have this simple rule. If DH's wallet is in my handbag, I don't take a purse. Ergo, he has to pay for everything. I do have a CC though. Just in case. We then take my lovely iPhone (his is crap) and one set of keys. Sorted.

My DH sometimes asks nicely if my bag would fit something of his but wouldn't ask me to change my bag.

On a night out the only things he will take are his phone and wallet and in my bag will be; set of house keys, bit of cash, phone, lipstick, lip liner & powder compact. If he has his expensive jeans on he might ask me to carry his phone and wallet as he doesn't like the outline they make in jeans (eventually leaves a mark), and I don't mind.
