I'm astounded that the Home Secretary has had to intervene to allow Billy Caldwell's mother to have their cannabis oil back.

I honestly had no idea it was not used in mainstream medicine. Seems incredible to me.

Just make it legal

junedaze · 16/06/2018 14:10

Cannabis oil is legal as far as i knew. It can be bought on the high st.

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 16/06/2018 14:12

It depends if the cannabis oil contains THC; which Billy's does. That's still an illegal substance here due the hallucinatory effects.

I'm glad they've intervened.

PuppetOnAString · 16/06/2018 14:13

How is it illegal (I’ve just been listening to the radio), when people sell it on Facebook? (I know it’s an MLM thing).

PuppetOnAString · 16/06/2018 14:14

I gues Anchor May have answered my question.

AwkwardSquad · 16/06/2018 14:22

Yes, it’s because it has a small amount of THC which is a Schedule 1 banned substance Guardian link

Just ridiculous, the whole thing. The cost to the family and particularly the little boy, and to the NHS because of the emergency treatment required.
