So far joined the free parts of the sites, my experiences so far...

POF - nobody will chat,via emails, unless they see your photo. Some demand a photo. Some rude/crude buggers.

PMF - Silver pond - again demanding photos.

PMF - Single parents - no interest whatsoever

Zoosk - lots of messages although I haven’t written a profile.

It seems I have more luck saying nothing on Zoosk then writing a profile on any website.

I think I will give up.

after one awful experience of a guy with no photo, (when he sent picture on private message i could see why he had no picture he was awful looking) there was no way i would engage with someone who had no picture on their profile, met my now partner on POF he had a picture, good profile and we had quite a few things in common, funnily enough i messaged him, he replied straight back and unlike a lot of men who just wanted to chat online, suggested a coffee the next day, and four years later we are still together and getting on great
