Pumping milk!

Posting here for traffic!

I’m trying to boost my milk supply, I intend to pump one side whilst breastfeeding on the other but, I’m not sure how often I should be sterilising the pump.
Should I sterilise it after every time I use it? or not? Breastfeeding mothers who have returned to work can’t do can’t do this, so is it really necessary?

Also, if you have any other suggestions to boost milk supply I’d really appreciate the help :)

TIA

I use to drink hot chocolate and look at baby pictures to boost the amount I'd pump while drinking/looking. You can also make lactation biscuits but I've never tried them. Although I know the standard advice is to spend a day skin to skin with baby and let them feed as often as they want. It can take a few days for your supply to adjust, if there was any change while I was feeding things would settle down within 7 days

My twins were in nicu and the pump was never sterilised. Only hot soapy water is necessary.

Fenugreek, oats, nursing tea and lots and lots of water. I'm feeding twins and just about keeping up! Good luck, but don't feel under pressure. They don't all gain consistently, especially if there's been a blip for illness.
