To cook simple food

Husband has gone off on a rant about how our menu is boring. Both work full-time and have 3/4 kids at home - eldest on and off as she is at uni. He offers to cook, then forgets or says he is too tired. For info, the menu varies from week to week, may have fish and sausages each week though, just cooked differently.

If he has an issue with what you are cooking he should plan the week out and cook.

Just laughing at the poor sod having jacket potato every night.
You should do that to him.
Last time dh complained about meals I told him to make his own or come up with ideas.

I've come back to this one @Sheeparemyfriends to ask if you feel that your meals are too simple/repetitive too? You did title the thread 'simple food'.
Looking at the regular meals you cook, and using the same ingredients (ie no significant difference to shopping/budget) you could mix it up a bit more if you wanted to. Maybe post on the recipes board for ideas if you are worried there may be a grain of truth.

I'm the potato cooker! Now, he gets a piece of frozen fish cooked, as complained about the potato! he is a fussy eater and very hard to cook for. I really don't have the patience anymore.
