AIBU to be upset about a facebook group

AIBU staying in a facebook group?

I have had a quick name change!

I'm a member of a large facebook group for natural parents who are also science aware. This group has been a fantastic resource and support network but its all gone wrong. The people running the page all have their own issues and are ganging up on other members for what seems like no reason.

I have thought long and hard about leaving the group because it seems like playground bullying but i just cant seem to do it.

They are great when you need your hand holding and will help you with any problem you could think of. They have a fantastic support network of Nutella addicts and people with difficulties like ADHD and depression I'm not sure there there is a better community.

BUT posting in it can be like stepping onto a nest of vipers. People having mental health problems can be kicked out for no good reason OR supported with people being sent round to check on them or taxis being called and paid for by the group when fleeing a husband. It just depends if you are in with the right crowd or not.

There are many LGBTQ members and there are a lot who are in relationships or who have experimented with eachother and this is causing tension on the group.

I cant seem to leave but i can't seem to stay and I don't even know these people in real life.

So I wasn't sure if I entered the twilight zone, but all the group members replies have convinced me they are
A) nuts about nutella
B) completely off their chocolate spreadable rockers
C) a group I need to find on FB
And finally I need some novella on toast or just by spoon from the jar, I haven't thought this bit through.
Op run and join witness protection now it's your only chance, unless the crotchety lot will make you a disguise ?

OkMaybeNot · 13/06/2018 21:53

Op, you there? ARE YOU OK?

TornFromTheInside · 13/06/2018 21:54

Whilst Caitlyn'sCat raises some salient points...

It does taste rather good.

But in the interests of balance, I shall spread Nutella on a carrot and invent a new cult.

IDontBowlOnShabbos · 13/06/2018 21:55

Mmmm milk puss.

Wait, what are we talking about?

C8H10N4O2 · 13/06/2018 21:55

the most prolific members massively overshare and have quite complicated lives.

Is it the overflow from AIBU?

zeeboo · 13/06/2018 21:56

It seems that this thread has made the group 'secret'!!

Starlight345 · 13/06/2018 21:59

I hope snap haven’t kidnapped op🙈

DiddimusStench · 13/06/2018 22:01

Ta CaitlynsCat but after some careful consideration and consultation with common sense I think I’ll stick with the chocolate puss. It’s tasty.

NeedsAsockamnesty · 13/06/2018 22:02

I think it’s funny as fuck that the members posting on here think they know who it is.

I’m in that group and I compleatly agree with the op. They are a bunch of vindictive childish wankers and off the top of my head I can think of a few others who feel the same way.

Spudlet · 13/06/2018 22:05

I have no idea what the buggery tits is going on here.

But I LOVE it. Grin

Although I now really fancy some milk pus Nutella and the shop is closed Sad

Sayhellotothesun · 13/06/2018 22:06

Ive been caught in the grasp of the odd group like this, one was a birth board. I don't miss them, left years ago.

Sashkin · 13/06/2018 22:06

Is this a reverse to drum up more members?

I’m up for a threesome with two jars of Nutella can I join?

Dancingmonkey87 · 13/06/2018 22:08

I was part of a group on fb when I was getting married and they were clinqy but by good they could be a bunch of vipers. I remember one of them turning on someone who they considered a friend and it got very nasty. I never been part of a fb group in the same way since especially as the bitchness got personal down to people’s appearance.

TornFromTheInside · 13/06/2018 22:09

Is it considered kinky to lick the lid of a Nutella jar?

Spudlet · 13/06/2018 22:09

TWO jars, Sashkin? You hussy.

I'll be over shortly. Got any crackers?

BertieBotts · 13/06/2018 22:14

For the love of god, European milk doesn't contain pus or antibiotics.

(This is an odd thread.)

TornFromTheInside · 13/06/2018 22:15

European milk from Switzerland actually contains Toblerone. Fact

OkMaybeNot · 13/06/2018 22:16

I'd be more concerned with all that palm oil.

And these people call themselves natural parent scientists, or whatever. Pah, I say.

PeppermintPasty · 13/06/2018 22:22

Am I the only person on Mumsnet who has never eaten Nutella?

TornFromTheInside · 13/06/2018 22:22

Oily palms are without doubt something to fear.

poddige · 13/06/2018 22:22

Wow @Fuckoffoutofsanpthen is in deep.

PeppermintPasty · 13/06/2018 22:23

That's sounds like a decent title for AIBU actually.

CaitlynsCat · 13/06/2018 22:24

What's in a glass of cow's milk? You may be expecting to hear something to the tune of calcium, vitamins A and D, protein, and some other nutrients that we think are beneficial to the body. Well, a glass of milk also contains acidic animal protein that leeches calcium from the bones, pus cells, bovine growth hormone, feces, antibiotics, and a whole lot of unnecessary fat, cholesterol and calories — all of which create a terrible imbalance in the body.

We seem to be the only species of mammals that drink milk after infancy, and definitely the only species that drinks another species' milk. Cow's milk is not designed for human consumption. Calves are about 100 pounds at birth and almost 8 to 10 times heavier by the time they are weaned.

Cow’s milk contains on average about three times the amount of protein than human milk does, which creates Metabolic Disturbances in humans.

Cows are given antibiotics and injected with rBGH, a genetically engineered Bovine Growth Hormone, which is a synthetic hormone that was created to artificially increase milk production. A Frightening side effect of rBGH is an increase in IGF-1 (insulin growth factor), which has been linked to many cancers. Cows are routinely given steroids and other hormones to plump them up. These potent synthetic hormones disturb the delicate human hormonal balance, leading to a lot of medical problems. Toxic pesticides from food that cows ingest also make their way into the milk, which humans unknowingly consume.

Milk and dairy products are pro-inflammatory and mucus producing. Milk increases the risks of respiratory conditions and allergies. It has been linked to the development of arthritis due to joints becoming inflamed. Remember, our bodies are not designed to naturally tolerate animal derived protein, and seeing it as Foreign Invaders jolts the immune system to overreact in order to protect.

Weedsnseeds1 · 13/06/2018 22:24

Milk is checked on receipt for antibiotics and somatic cell count ("puss") here.
I can't make head nor tail of this thread, but need to know more, for some reason...

poddige · 13/06/2018 22:25

This thread is a rollercoaster.
