AIBU to be upset about a facebook group

AIBU staying in a facebook group?

I have had a quick name change!

I'm a member of a large facebook group for natural parents who are also science aware. This group has been a fantastic resource and support network but its all gone wrong. The people running the page all have their own issues and are ganging up on other members for what seems like no reason.

I have thought long and hard about leaving the group because it seems like playground bullying but i just cant seem to do it.

They are great when you need your hand holding and will help you with any problem you could think of. They have a fantastic support network of Nutella addicts and people with difficulties like ADHD and depression I'm not sure there there is a better community.

BUT posting in it can be like stepping onto a nest of vipers. People having mental health problems can be kicked out for no good reason OR supported with people being sent round to check on them or taxis being called and paid for by the group when fleeing a husband. It just depends if you are in with the right crowd or not.

There are many LGBTQ members and there are a lot who are in relationships or who have experimented with eachother and this is causing tension on the group.

I cant seem to leave but i can't seem to stay and I don't even know these people in real life.

@OkMaybeNot try being part of the actual group where admin are convinced they are reasonable humans but shut people down before any reasonable discussion has been had and tell you to pm them about it and ignore you anyway.

Ahardmanisgoodtofind · 14/06/2018 14:46

Just read TFT on my lunch break and offered cows pus to my bosses. instead asking if they'd like milk.
And to the posters in/were in the group. Spell out for the rest of us what you're talking about for all of us nosey cows because it's all very confusing.
Where are all these drama filled groups on FB?ones I'm in are boring. I need drama filled groups to justify eating my Nutella out of the jar, otherwise is frowned upon.

sanptillidie · 14/06/2018 14:46

I’m not threatening you. You asked me if I would just drop it if people were lying about me and my answer is I think I would just block, switxh off my phone and concentrate on looking after myself. I think thats what people on both sides of this should do tbh

idlikemoresleep · 14/06/2018 14:48

I don't think I've ever been so confused by a thread 😂😂

TattyFrench · 14/06/2018 14:51

I think those of you here from SNAP, or whatever, really need to step back and think about why you are TAKING THIS SO SERIOUSLY, whatever THIS is. It's weird, don't you have normal lives to be getting on with? Or pigs to milk or something?

FlyingElbows · 14/06/2018 14:53

I'm not surprised someone went a bit emotionally wobbly if people kept putting snakes under her. Did Barbara sanction this?

Germantree · 14/06/2018 14:54

Read the start of this late last night, thought I must be more sleep deprived than I thought because it was so batshit. Double checked after a sleep and nope, not me, really is totally insane.

Dare I admit...Ive never seen what the big deal is about Nutella?

niugboo · 14/06/2018 14:55

@sanptillidie pretty sure sanp admin issued an order to cease engagement. Watch it. You’ll be next.

NanooCov · 14/06/2018 15:00

@TattyFrench Crying at "pigs to milk"😂

Scienceawarenaturalparent · 14/06/2018 15:11

Or pigs to milk or something?

Haaaaaa

OkMaybeNot · 14/06/2018 15:17

Have they told you bots to stop posting? What's the punishment if you don't?

It's getting very Tom Cruise in here.

Scienceawarenaturalparent · 14/06/2018 15:21

We all give birth in silence and believe the writings of J. K. Rowling to be fact.

TattyFrench · 14/06/2018 15:22

Well, Tom Cruise is probably the leader of SANP, have a look at his feet, he's always wearing Salty sandals. It's a dead giveaway.

EveningHare · 14/06/2018 15:24

Just going to leave this here

AIBU to be upset about a facebook group

If you don’t obey you pretty much get your card marked and as soon as they can they issue a BANHAMMER. And if opportunity doesn’t present itself they LITERALLY make shit up.

MadeleineMaxwell · 14/06/2018 16:18

So is it all like red cloaks and white bonnets but with Nutella lube and quidditch?

Barbara should pitch that to Netflix.

HairFullOfSecrets · 14/06/2018 16:21

The best of SANP hypocrisy though is that in the main group all photos have to be in the comments in case they're triggering.
Cute cat picture- in comments could be triggering
New dress-in comments could be triggering
You baked a cake for your child's birthday- comments, triggering

But the off shoot sex group is wall to wall unsolicited vagina pics

nevertrustafart · 14/06/2018 16:32

Is desperate to join this cult group.

I wanted to join the scientology but just couldn't justify the 30% of earnings to be handed over even though they had Tom Cruise.

Id be happy to join for up to £6.99 a month. But for that I would expect at least 1 orgy per full moon and a minimum of either Daniella Westbrook or a chuckle brother to be the celebrity endorser

niugboo · 14/06/2018 16:50

@hairfullofsecrets that is so not the best of the hypocrisy. Not even close. Amusing still.

IveGotBillsTheyreMultiplying · 14/06/2018 16:50

What will the daily mail make of this thread?

I'm sure naturalNutellaCult is an anagram of something really rude, though.

SluttyButty · 14/06/2018 16:55

🤔 are none of them capable of working out which photos might be triggering to avoid all pics in comments? Have we really become so pc and dumbed down as a society? Bizarre.

Scienceawarenaturalparent · 14/06/2018 17:01

I'm moving into Mumsnet there are no trigger or content warnings and you can swear and post pictures without modmin twats getting cross. So AIBU and should I stay or should I go now
