... another day of Kate and William away from their tiny baby for a substantial amount of time.

I just don't understand it, when they were this small I couldn't bear to be apart from them.

Now getting my hard hat 👩‍🚒👷‍♀️😬

Good Lord, OP! I thought we'd moved on from slagging other women off for their parenting choices.
And aside from that, you have NO IDEA where Louis was today, or yesterday. As others have said, he could well have been close by, with Kate nipping out for photo opportunities for short periods of time whilst he slept. Would that be OK with you? Hmm

Steeley113 · 10/06/2018 21:37

Left my 9 week old for a few hours every Saturday for the past 3 weeks. She seems ok with it, her grandma is usually thoroughly disappointed that she sleeps the entire time Hmm also leave her to take my oldest swimming every week, clearly I’m a terrible mother. Get a grip OP. My DH leaves her 5 days a week for 9 hours at a time, don’t see anyone slagging him off.

Nanny0gg · 10/06/2018 21:40

Just because he wasn't in the photos it doesn't mean he wasn't there.

We really don't know.

ColoursOfRain · 10/06/2018 21:41

I love how those who are bleating 'judge, judgy' are the ones who are now overtly judging parents who don't like to leave their babies!

Log it with 101 and call Social Services.

@00100001 😂😂

MrsHappyAndMrCool · 10/06/2018 21:45

Them being away from their baby is really none of your business.

fleshmarketclose · 10/06/2018 21:47

Well 30 years ago I went back to work full time when ds was six weeks old so left him from 7.30 until 5.30 five days a week. Nobody gave it a second thought. The childminder was great, he was well cared for and he doesn't appear to have been damaged by it.

Eemamc · 10/06/2018 21:49

It looked like she was spending some nice quality time with her older children. I imagine it’s hard for them when a little one comes. How lovely they got to spend some time with her away from the baby. I expect Louis was fairly oblivious and very well looked after in her absence.

Bowiesequins · 10/06/2018 21:49

I’m confused OP. What is wrong with being away from your baby? Do you think it’s detrimental to either parents or baby?

LanaorAna2 · 10/06/2018 21:51

MNetters might care, the baby won't.

Ghanagirl · 10/06/2018 21:56

Livingsymbol
What has this got to with Meghan?
She's not the mother or Nanny...

HyacinthsBucket70 · 10/06/2018 21:57

I'd imagine that Louis is just as comfortable with his nannies as he is with his parents. Royal parenting strikes me as very detached.

SandyY2K · 10/06/2018 21:59

All parents need a break from the baby and you don't know if he was inside the palace with a Nanny for when they returned.

Just because you couldn't bear to be away grom your child...doesn't make it the only way is the right way. It's just YOUR way.

Tambien · 10/06/2018 21:59

I’ve asked myself the question.
I suspect this has a lot to do with the fact there are few photos of their last child, he hasn’t been seen in public and i wouod t be surprised if there is a rule that says he shouldn’t be in public until his christening or something.
If you look at the previous two children, they haven’t been seen in public at that age either.

Of course, you can argue she should be at home with said baby. But she also had two older children to take care off and a lot of parents take the decision to try and not disturb their routine too much, which will include seeing their own cousins!

Crunchymum · 10/06/2018 22:03

I left my baby overnight from birth and every night until she was 15 days old. She was a neonate. Bite me!

marilyntaylor · 10/06/2018 22:05

HyacinthsBucket70
Have you actually seen the photos of Kate with George and Charlotte today? She certainly doesn't look like a detached parent to me.

Antigonads · 10/06/2018 22:05

I thought it was lovely to see the family out enjoying themselves.

greenvalleys · 10/06/2018 22:06

They both strike me as rather detached from their kids, she's never acted in a maternal way from what i've seen, and he looks like he doesn't give two hoots.Never really see anŷ fatherly loving glances towards his offspring. But that's the royals for you.

Sparklingbrook · 10/06/2018 22:08

I can't see the problem TBH.

Redglitter · 10/06/2018 22:09

You must be looking at very different photos to ones I've seen

abbsisspartacus · 10/06/2018 22:09

Greenvalleys are you sure? There has been a big deal made about her disciplining her children publicly and he carries them around like any other dad

StrangeLookingParasite · 10/06/2018 22:10

I never understand why people who can leave their baby at the drop of a hat bother to have them at all.

Indeed, it's a conundrum for all the ages, why is everyone not exactly like you.

marilyntaylor · 10/06/2018 22:11

Greenvalleys
Have you seen today's photos of Kate playing with her children like any other mother would?

pallisers · 10/06/2018 22:13

This thread is a lovely insight into what some people are thinking as they look at the rest of us going about our lives not behaving exactly as they do ...

And also how much some people want to shove it to the royals.
