... another day of Kate and William away from their tiny baby for a substantial amount of time.

I just don't understand it, when they were this small I couldn't bear to be apart from them.

Now getting my hard hat 👩‍🚒👷‍♀️😬

No. I said I never understand. I didn't call them names or accuse them of anything. I said I didn't understand. I don't.

ColoursOfRain · 12/06/2018 18:47

And 'at the drop of a hat' means when they don't have to. It doesn't refer to those who have no choice. Kate has every choice available to her.

SleepingStandingUp · 12/06/2018 19:15

I'm guessing she can't be bothered with babies as they cry and poo, although with a lie-in nanny I doubt she's ever been on the business end of a nappy yeah she just went through three pregnancies, HG ask three times and the lots of labour for shits and giggles, not cos she actually likes her kids.

She's done her BIL's wedding, Trooping if the Colour and the polo game - what else has she abandoned her child for?

StrangeLookingParasite · 12/06/2018 20:43

Oh look at your goalposts move. So nice to see you backtracking on the ugly things you said.

ColoursOfRain · 12/06/2018 20:47

I'm not backtracking at all.

StrangeLookingParasite · 12/06/2018 20:49

Yes, yes you are. You said several offensive things, now you're trying to assign your own unrelated meanings to them.

ColoursOfRain · 12/06/2018 20:51

No. You just didn't understand what I wrote.

cherrytrees123 · 12/06/2018 20:54

For Gods sake, the baby was with his nanny just down the road at Highgrove I assume. The match probably lasted a few hours. Can the poor woman not feed her baby and go down the road with her other kids, return to feed the baby etc? The baby would not have enjoyed the noise I assume and the paps were already charting their every move. I don't understand why the bloody paps can't leave them in peace.. ever.

StrangeLookingParasite · 12/06/2018 21:19

I understood what you wrote perfectly, and I was by no means the only person who pulled you up on your ugly remarks. Stop trying to twist your own comments to exonerate yourself.

I'm hiding this thread now, as I find trying to argue with you depressing.

ColoursOfRain · 12/06/2018 21:22

Well, I've suffered numerous person attacks from you and I've been nothing but courteous to you. I've have tried to explain the meaning behind my words, but you have chosen not to listen. I don't know why you have chosen to get so personal with me, but hey ho.

moonoflove · 12/06/2018 22:03

Always amazes me the amount of people who jump to this most extremely privileged family's defence. They're hardly in need of it.

moonoflove · 12/06/2018 22:10

I don't understand why the bloody paps can't leave them in peace ....ever
They get plenty of peace from the paps, they have a deal with them to leave them in peace in return for the odd photo shoot. Considering what they get in return i think it's a very small price to pay. Their security bill is huge, it disgusts me how much money is thrown at the royal family in these times of huge hardships. Who the hell would feel sorry for them.

RoseWhiteTips · 12/06/2018 23:25

Kate and the children looked great. She looked great when she managed to run down that slope in wedges. Am I being cynical in thinking this is a great focus on Team Wills and Kate?!

RoseWhiteTips · 12/06/2018 23:26

Last year they “did” the polo photo shoot, too.

SleepingStandingUp · 13/06/2018 00:29

Well it's an easy one to placate the media with. It's a semi public event foot a good cause with no need for formality.

MilkyCoffeeAndSkinnySyrup · 13/06/2018 07:56

They pay for their nanny out of our tax money, so they get to live their life in luxury!

00100001 · 13/06/2018 08:03

"They pay for their nanny out of our tax money, so they get to live their life in luxury!"

Source for that? How do you know they awe using tax money and not their own?

Whitesea · 13/06/2018 08:42

I don’t understand why people don’t get that the RF only show a small percentage of their daily lives to the public. For all we know Kate and William have been off on an island retreat sunning themselves every other month. They tell the public only as much as they want to tell the public. William can’t even hide how irritated he is by any intrusion into their lives. The press and public are barely tolerable to him. They don’t think they owe any explanation of what they do. And as long as people are happy to support them, they are right.

cherrytrees123 · 13/06/2018 08:53

I am not a Royalist, but I wonder how many people on this thread would like to live their life under that sort of scrutiny. Yes, they are paid for by the taxpayer, but in return, they spend a great deal of time doing boring, mechanical events. Opening things, talking to people , shaking hands, turning up looking immaculate, no matter how they feel or what they would rather be doing. They life under virtual house arrest in a compound. They can't go anywhere without protection. Their kids can't lead normal lives. Everything they do and say is criticised. They can't ever get anything right no matter how hard they try. They are in part a victim of their circumstances, and if they had a chance, don't you think they would give up all the money and privilege to lead normal lives? William and Harry have said as much numerous times.
They live in a gilded cage. I felt sorry for Kate at that event. If I were her I would want to play with my children and enjoy myself without the DM's long lenses trained on her all day. Why would she bring the baby to be gawped at and photographed? They are trying for as long as they can to keep him out of the public eye.

I don't have much time for Charles, but I think the Queen and the younger Royals. i.e. William and Harry are trying hard to do what they can within the confines of their role. At least they are trying to raise awareness of MH issues and help those less fortunate.
Give them a bloody break. The jealousy and spitefulness on this thread as well as many others on MN are breathtaking.

SleepingStandingUp · 13/06/2018 09:39

And she could spend her days with Louis in a sling doing baby yoga and practising spelling and counting with George and Charlotte. Or maybe they just spend every free second having sex.

RoseWhiteTips · 13/06/2018 10:37

Haha, indeed. Wills is quite nice to the public, I think. He just does lad it in the way Harry tries to. I like him.

RoseWhiteTips · 13/06/2018 10:37

...does not lad it

Whitesea · 13/06/2018 11:45

He seems quite nice as long as it is on his terms, when he wants to and for only as long as he wants to. He seems very self entitled to me but I suppose people in that ‘set’ ie incredible wealth from birth until death, servants to take care of your every whim, excellent schools even for non academic students, surrounded by friends in similar circumstances are like that and it would be strange if they were otherwise. They seem to have an awareness that the majority of the public do not live like them but I often wonder if they realise how horrible some people in their own country’s conditions really are.
