... another day of Kate and William away from their tiny baby for a substantial amount of time.

I just don't understand it, when they were this small I couldn't bear to be apart from them.

Now getting my hard hat 👩‍🚒👷‍♀️😬

if he hadn't found a toy gun to play with the would have used a stick, or a clothes peg or his fingers like pretty much every other little kid.
Coming from a family which is both military and which hunts, he will grow up with a very healthy understanding of guns and how to use them.

bluemascara · 11/06/2018 20:31

🙄 ffs like. Mother of 3 doesn't spend every waking minute with her kids! Call the police now

SleepingStandingUp · 11/06/2018 20:45

I know dement, he'll get to party with a real one soon enough

Loubymoo27 · 11/06/2018 21:06

I had no issues leaving my DD with my parents for a whole day and having some me time when she was a baby. Doesn't mean I love her less!!!! Everyone is different!!

ColoursOfRain · 11/06/2018 21:16

Yep. Let's get killing those animals for fun.*

What a family.

*Then he can join the army and upgrade to killing people...

StrangeLookingParasite · 11/06/2018 23:23

Then he can join the army and upgrade to killing people...

What a spectacularly offensive thing to say.

IslaBoots · 11/06/2018 23:30

I'm not a royalists but I really can't see the problem with any mother leaving their baby with a nanny whilst they enjoy a day out with their eldest children.

I think the photographs depict a mother enjoying time with her adored children. I can't see anything sinister... William has also been photographed, many times, enjoying time with his children.

Sometimes I think SOME mumsnetters don't have enough to whinge about 🤷‍♀️

user1471432735 · 12/06/2018 06:09

Um.... weren’t the “guns” actually water pistols?

ColoursOfRain · 12/06/2018 07:39

What a spectacularly offensive thing to say.

But true.

StrangeLookingParasite · 12/06/2018 09:46

But true

No, for the most part it isn't.

ColoursOfRain · 12/06/2018 12:29

for the most part

And you don't understand the irony in that statement! 🙄

StrangeLookingParasite · 12/06/2018 12:49

I'm guessing you're very young and not too smart.

shakingmyhead1 · 12/06/2018 12:57

Guess the royals don't breastfeed
Diana did

DinaSoares · 12/06/2018 13:19

I had to go back to work when my ds was two weeks old. This thread makes me feel like the worlds worst mother

RoseWhiteTips · 12/06/2018 13:24

George should have had a Super Soaker instead.

RoseWhiteTips · 12/06/2018 13:25

Might have too many primary colours in it though!

Mamamia95 · 12/06/2018 13:57

I had to return to work when my son 6 weeks due to financial hardship. If Princess Kate wanted a nanny to watch her baby , she has every right to do what she wants. Did anyone ever stop to think that maybe Princess Kate doesn't want anyone gawking at the baby or giving the baby germs. Too many airborne illnesses out there in the world. I think she did the right thing.😊

MrsSnootyPants2018 · 12/06/2018 15:25

@Mamamia95 she isn't a princess

tillytrotter1 · 12/06/2018 16:20

It gave the older pair her undivided attention, maybe they're fed up of it being all about the baby! Not everyone is afraid to put their baby down .

ColoursOfRain · 12/06/2018 16:45

I'm guessing you're very young and not too smart.

Well you'd be wrong then.

harshbuttrue1980 · 12/06/2018 17:41

Totally different to leave a baby because you have to work to support the baby than leaving because you don't want to be with the baby. The OP was making the point that since having Louis, Kate has spent a lot of time away from him, so its not just the occasional hour of me-time. I'm guessing she can't be bothered with babies as they cry and poo, although with a lie-in nanny I doubt she's ever been on the business end of a nappy.

StrangeLookingParasite · 12/06/2018 17:42

Well you'd be wrong then.

So just old and pathologically self-centred then.

ColoursOfRain · 12/06/2018 18:05

No. But you are rude. And you are the epitome of someone who can't understand that others disagree with them.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 12/06/2018 18:17

Erm Catherine hasn't spent 'loads' of time away from Louis. She's just been at a few major royal events.
Anyway Harry & Meghan were looking after Louis as they want to get the practise in Smile.

StrangeLookingParasite · 12/06/2018 18:27

No. But you are rude. And you are the epitome of someone who can't understand that others disagree with them.

I'm rude? You've made potshots at a wide range of people on this thread, not including having a good go at its subject.

And If I could just draw your attention to your second post on the thread, I never understand why people who can leave their baby at the drop of a hat bother to have them at all.

Self centred. You are unable to see why other people might make different decisions to those you would make. This has been consistent throughout this thread.
By no means the only massively offensive remark you've made.
