I'm in quandary. I've finally decided to go for it and get a pair but now am stuck on which colour.
I know it sounds silly but I feel like different colours look very different on, even though they are the same style, so if anyone has any pictures of theirs on I would be eternally gratefully.

I'm stuck between the (non buckle version) tan, yellow, gold and rose gold. I don't think I like the white footbeds on so much? I can't go and try them on as I don't have a stockist near me so have to order online.

And I promise I'm not a foot troll. Although that's probably what a foot troll what say. Sigh.

Thanks in advance :)

PS: I know a lot of you will think they are hideous and granny but I don't care and think they are beautiful

And I just realised it will undoubtedly be pointed out that I could easily see them on on the website but they are all on lovely model feet on those slender of leg, of which I am neither. In fact I am dumpy of leg with stumpy toes.

If you Google images or go on Pinterest you'll see lots of non-model feet wearing them.

Bluntness100 · 10/06/2018 20:04

Hi, these are my saltwater sliders in rose gold.

Good point @housewife2010 I don't know why I didn't think of that - possibly because I avoid Pinterest like the plague as I get sucked into The Vortex Of Beautiful Things and only resurface hours later Grin

Thank you @bluntness100 they do look really lovely in the rose gold - do you wear them a lot? Now I'm wondering about the sliders....

Bluntness100 · 10/06/2018 20:13

Yes I wear them regularly. The leather is very soft, but the soles are quite hard. I like them and think they are pretty anc comfy.

Tigerlily49 · 10/06/2018 20:20

My DD10 has the rose gold sliders (long size 6 but very slim feet) and they are lovely, I’m quite jealous of them!
We got them a while ago as spent 3 weeks in Florida over Easter and she found them super comfy despite the hard soles. They went in the sea, were fine walking through huge rain storms, kayaking and of course she walked for miles around the theme parks. They also looked nice with everything she wore.

mmmgoats · 10/06/2018 22:19

Thank you! Random question - don’t the buckles rust if you wear them in the water?!

OP posts:
emsyj37 · 10/06/2018 22:29

I've got yellow and they go with everything and no the buckles don't rust. They are designed for wearing in water.

blueskypink · 10/06/2018 22:32

What's the attraction with Saltwater sandals? I was looking at a pair in Fat Face today and thought they looked decidedly ordinary and old fashioned. And the soles looked really hard - no good for me with my plantar fasciitis!

aaronburr · 10/06/2018 22:38

I love my saltwaters. I got a red pair 2 years ago and navy ones last year, have worn them loads and they both still look new. They are surprisingly comfy despite what the sole looks like. I'm going to get a silver pair this year.

I was going to get a tan pair but didn't like the colour in real life. The yellow ones look lovely though.

Notcontent · 10/06/2018 22:46

Bkueskypink - I think the fact that they are “old fashioned” is part of the attraction. It’s becoming really hard to find plain, classic things, made with natural materials....

I love them!!

Notcontent · 10/06/2018 22:47

I have a tan pair but might go for silver next time. Or navy...

Plump82 · 10/06/2018 22:58

I have a silver pair that i wore to death a few years back and still look in great nick because they can be bunged in the washing machine. Ive got a yellow pair this year.
Id say the pictures/colours online are pretty accurate.

Troels · 10/06/2018 23:03

Dd had them every summer since she was two, I never bothered after she was about 7. Where we lived in US they are very much a little kid shoe. She had gold, flowery, red, white, each year we got a different colour. Very hard wearing.

DharmaInitiativeLady · 10/06/2018 23:15

Don't know how to upload a pic but I've got Tan and also Yellow ones. I love them both, you won't go wrong with either

Foggymist · 10/06/2018 23:30

The whole point is they can be worn in the water, hence the name... The buckles are rust proof

whitechocolatespaceegg · 10/06/2018 23:37

I have 2 pairs. Bought yellow patent ones this summer and have a white pair which are 5 years old now. So comfy and I think they look fab on. Great for the beach and work. I also chuck them in the washing machine no problems.

mmmgoats · 11/06/2018 11:55

I think I'm going to go for tan initially as I feel like they will go with more than the rose gold...and see how I get on with them!
Does the insole wear well? I'm quite hard on shoes and often get patches underfoot where it wears and discolours Blush

They wear well. These are mine which are 5 years old.

Found a shop that stocks them near me and got the tan! LOVE them. They are so so comfy. Thanks for all your help!

What's the sizing like OP ?

LetBartlettBeBartlett · 12/06/2018 22:14

Fourth summer for mine, I love them! Wear them almost every day this time of year (just beware the crazy tan lines 😂)

HopelessWithNumbers · 12/06/2018 22:26

I have very wide feet - would they work for me?

Clawdy · 12/06/2018 22:32

Do John Lewis stock them?

ScrubTheDecks · 13/06/2018 06:56

I have wide feet and they are good for me.

Mine are red. I like them with jeans, boyfriend style, on tne ankle.
