Ours is loo roll.
Omg. We go through one a day! I swear dp and ds eat it lol
Bearing in mind dp at work till six. DS at school till 3. I'm generally out most days with family and friends with the baby or groups.
I know certainly I don't use loads lol

The other thing washing powder! That's down to me tho and my excessive need to wash everything all the time..

Cat food - 48 tins a week.

I thought we used a lot! You must have a few cats :-)

SweetCheeks1980 · 08/06/2018 14:47

Totally agree with @puglife
I don't use bleach at all except for a tiny squirt of toilet duck.
I damp dust and don't use polish or sprays.
I only use a bit of washing powder for white washes. Dark washes go without powder.
Toilet roll we get through quite a lot though, annoyingly.

Mousefunky · 08/06/2018 14:50

Agreed with toilet roll. 5 of us but DP and I are at work most of the week and DC at school so I don’t know how we get through so much! Also about a roll a day...

Flash wipes. I know wipes aren’t the best for the environment but I think cloths are unhygienic. I use about 2 packs a week.

Get through 1-2 bottles of bleach a week too.

Biscuits Blush.

SweetCheeks1980 · 08/06/2018 14:50

@semester I have fifteen cats, and 5 dogs plus rabbits, chickens, turkeys, cockatiels, quails, rosellas, bearded dragons, geckos, snakes, a chameleon and a tortoise.

autumnboys · 08/06/2018 14:56

Milk & loo roll. I can only think that when I’m out they all rush to the kitchen to eat loo roll soaked in milk.

NorthEndGal · 08/06/2018 14:57

UpstartCrow what is it called? I'm in Canada, so I don't know if we have the same stuff. I am happy to switch if I can find something that works as well!

Semster · 08/06/2018 15:03

SweetCheeks1980 I want to visit!

barneymcgroo · 08/06/2018 15:48

Butter.

SpacePenguin · 08/06/2018 16:26

What's the obsession with bleach? I've never bought a bottle of bleach in 20 years of grocery shopping. I recently bought some cleaning stuff that has bleach, but never a bottle of the stuff. What am I missing out on here?

And milk? We are 2 adults and 3 kids and use 5-6 litres per week. Mostly in cereal and coffee.

I don't think there's anything on our grocery list that would fit this thread!

LakieLady · 08/06/2018 16:28

Swearwords.

frasier · 08/06/2018 16:35

I’ve never bought bleach because I remember being told at school that it killed fish 🤔

UpstartCrow · 08/06/2018 16:41

NorthEndGal
Any oxygenating laundry bleach, using sodium percarbonate or sodium perborate.
Or hydrogen peroxide if you can buy it in bulk, but watch the strength - 30% vol is very concentrated. (its restricted in some places)

MissMarplesKnitting · 08/06/2018 16:44

Washing powder
Loo roll. This is mostly DD and her overzealous bum cleaning.
Bread. Mostly as toast. Results in needing much butter also.
Apples. At least 12 a week.
Milk. Pints of it. On copious bowls of cereal.
Bananas. I swear we have an invisible resident chimp.

melonscoffer · 08/06/2018 16:47

Bread, rolls, breadsticks, anything made from bread.
I don't eat bread, that just leaves my husband. No children here.
What's he doing with it?

He has a flock of wild birds to share it with.
Before work he sits outside come rain or shine eating his breakfast with his birdy friends who sit on the fence staring intently for their share.
I buy good quality seeded bread for my husband, I've heard that bread is not ideal for birds.

Metoodear · 08/06/2018 16:49

Deodorant ds18 was using it as air freshener Hmm so we switched to roll on so now he leaves the lid off and they dry up

Gives up

Oh and cheese

melonscoffer · 08/06/2018 16:50

He actually makes extra toast for the birds.

Also toilet rolls . Where do they go? I swear that half of mine are hiding with all the single socks.

StylishMummy · 08/06/2018 16:53

Me, DH and DD1 are drinking around 3L of milk per day. Also use a shit tonne of washing liquid

Alanamackree · 08/06/2018 17:01

Pens and pencils.
Yogurt.

hugitout10 · 08/06/2018 17:11

I never understood how toilet roll went so fast in my house until i saw dh wrapping it round his hand multiple times to use...Angry that has now stopped. Smile

foxpox · 08/06/2018 17:46

Wipes and kitchen roll. When I am on bum duty I'll use 1-4 wipes. Even a terrible poo I'd seldom need more than 5/6. Dh uses half a pack per change!!Shock
Btw this doesn't equate to better cleaned bums. I still do a better job. Consequently when I'm at work we get through packs and packs. And kitchen roll. Again dh, somehow he will use a whole roll over a meal. I don't earn a huge amount and sometimes feel I'm working to buy baby wipes and kitchen roll.

CloudPop · 08/06/2018 17:49

Loo roll with us. We get through unfathomable quantities

Ski40 · 08/06/2018 18:17

Kitchen roll. I detest the idea of using the same cloth twice, even if washed or disinfected. Not very green I know- though I do my best to compensate for this in other areas.
Coffee.
Car wash stuff. DH washes and polishes the car EVERY DAY. 🙈He says it's his hobby! It's 12 years old and it's immaculate and shiny like straight out of the showroom.

DoJo · 08/06/2018 20:21

Loo seats! Somehow the combined efforts of two adults and one child cause our loo seats to detach twice yearly approx. I have no idea what weird bum shuffle is causing this, but I blame the others...

Blerg · 08/06/2018 20:30

Children’s toothbrushes- they chomp them flat given half the chance. They are 4 and 2, so I brush their teeth but they grab them. Or scrub the toilet seat with them or something else grim.

Bananas and almond milk. Mayo.

dementedma · 08/06/2018 21:16

please tell me all those using tons of wipes aren't flushing them!
I never use kitchen roll. i have loads of washable cloths and just chuck them in the machine with everything else and use again.
