Shoot her.

YANBU. I don't get how people are so thick that they don't realise how irritating their noise is to other people. It also drives me mad when people haven't set their text option to silent rather than 'beep beep beep' when typing a message. Gives me the rage.

Gromance02 · 07/06/2018 14:06

I have been known to say to people 'I can hear that from here, do you mind?'. Even if I'm sat right next to them. Idiots.

Ask her to put it on silent. I had a family of 4 on the Eurostar next to me once watching s film all together with the sound on high like it was their living room. They stopped when I asked them to (&even looked a little sheepish)

one repetition of 'turn that noise off, please' and then stamp on it if ignored.

I asked her nicely to put her phone on silent. I was treated to an attempt of public humiliation and belittling with non stop verbal attitude. Luckily I am the proud owner of a late teenage daughter so am well versed in pointed reasonableness in the face of adversity. Mumsnet via Dragonade 1
