to complain about weight loss giving me an aching bum?

Was 17.5 stone at 5ft 10. Down to 13 stone. Still have 2 stones to lose to put me in the middle of the healthy weight range according to NHS BMI app (they recommend this weight for me).

My bum aches! I've lost my cushion! I am hardly thin yet - always been bottom-heavy - but I can really feel the difference without that extra padding.

Can't imagine what it will feel like if I ever manage to lose the last 2 stones!!

People talk about how losing weight makes them feel great and younger etc., so it seems churlish to complain about this. Maybe it's my age? I am menopausal - could this be it?

Put some muscle on it Grin squats and stuff work fast as these are big muscles.

But yes, I am quite slight (sadly no longer with a muscly rear end) and I find hard chairs, the bath etc uncomfortable after a relatively short time.

@60sname Oooh, that's interesting. I haven't actually been exercising except for walking Blush perhaps that's my problem! I do need to tone up, that's for sure.

I have been obese, then overweight for around 15 years so hard-pushed to remember when I was slim in the olden days Grin

I have aged a lot since I was last slim and am now menopausal so I am a different woman to what I was before anyway. It's a pain (literally).

Build up that glutemus maximus! Bonus, those large muscle groups consume relatively large numbers of calories so great for metabolism and keeping your weight loss going in those tricky late stages.

My friend who was underweight (EDs) found plastic school chairs so uncomfortable and had to sit on jackets/ jumpers.

@UrgentScurryfunge

Thanks! Will do!

I am pretty lazy about proper exercise, I must admit. Great news that it will help my metabolism though. My weight loss is slowing a lot now and I am not sure I could comfortably eat much less than I do already.
