He can take his weight on his arms, or try a different position, side by side, spoons, doggie, you on top, you on your back with legs off end of the bed and him standing between legs, sitting on his lap, standing up.....so many ways.

Maybe he gets off on that crushing you thing. I'd tell him to go crush something else or reacquaint himself with his elbows!!

That's one of the many reasons why I would hate to be a man. The missionary position is a bit like doing the plank and also having to ensure the lady gets pleasures.

Try getting him to sort of sit upright with his legs under him and yours wrapped around his hips ..you can breathe and he has full access plus a great view and other parts of you to pay attention to ..
