AIBU to think I'll never have painfree sex again

Been using dilators to help with vaginismus for many months now and I'm seriously struggling. Every story I've read online sounds so positive and has a happy ending but I feel like I'll never manage it Sad anyone else have any experience?

I know this is a bit late but I think I have it too. I’ve been to the doctors and she did diagnose me with vaginismus. The only thing she suggested was for me to do lots of pelvic floor exercises so that I can consciously unclench my muscles during sex. It helped a bit but it not exactly romantic that I’m having to focus on my pelvic muscles during sex and it’s still painful. I feel like I’ll never have painless sex

Can highly recommend seeing a specialist women's physio, who will specialise in pelvic floor issues and can help with proper down-training

Also recommend the book 'Healing pelvic pain' by Amy Stein
