So, due to a ridiculously wonderful very over catered family event I find myself in possession of a whole wheel of Brie (an half a wheel of Stilton but that’s a whole other thread...) . And I don’t really like it (at least raw? Which I think is only way I’ve had it? What can I do with it? Can I cook it? What recipies work? Or is it food of devil?

but I think DH would declare me insane if I rang him and asked if he could bring me brie and a baguette on his way home!!

This would be a standard request in our house Grin

You can eat brie uncooked when you're pregnant as long as it's pasteurised. My midwife also said your should cut the rind off - which was fine as I don't like the rind.

Nice crusty baguette with brie, grape, apple, mayonnaise and some salad leaves.

Or brie, bacon and raspberry jam sandwich.

There is advice on which foods present a higher (but still low) risk of food poisoning etc, but that doesn’t mean pregnant women “can’t” eat things: we each decide.

I can't stand the "ripe" brie everyone raves about - I love cheapo slightly on the rubbery side brie on crackers though.

Smells like bins.

My first food after giving birth was exh bringing me a baguette filled with brie and mango chutney.

I only like it when it's still firm-I don't do gooey.
