To ask if your kids watch TV at breakfast

Just that really. Do your kids watch TV while eating their breakfast and if not, what do they do?

Second caveat - we have a tv in the kitchen near the breakfast table. No food allowed outside the kitchen!

For the rugrats that is .... I'm eating Oreos on sofa whilst typing Blush

Haha so glad to hear other people use the TV schedule to keep on time!

If they're not dressed by the start of Hey Duggee (7:30) I'm there telling them "Duggee's about the start and you'll miss it if you aren't dressed"

So the telly goes on then, and off when Peter Rabbit finishes (8am) then it's wee, teeth, shoes, out the door.

Weekends occasionally. Not during weekday mornings or they'll never get ready for school, I have TV zombies. Occasionally weeknights while having dinner, about once or twice a week.

WhiteCoyote · 06/06/2018 11:57

Yes, because it gives me a chance to get dressed and slap my face on while 14 month old is chewing his toast. I find it doesn’t make him eat slower, when he gets older may be a different matter Grin

WhiteCoyote · 06/06/2018 11:58

And yes I use the programmes on to keep schedule too!

Jimdandy · 06/06/2018 12:13

No. It’s hard enough to get sorted and out of the door without other distractions!!

LagunaBubbles · 06/06/2018 12:17

Well I have Good Morning Britain on when Im getting ready for work, DS are 10 and 16 and capable of getting themselves ready for school, they arent sitting watching it but its on.

UrgentScurryfunge · 06/06/2018 12:19

No, the TV's in the lounge and we eat in the kitchen. It would slow them down too much anyway.

It tends to be harder on the mornings when they amble down early and put the TV on as they can't seem to oggle at it and get dressed at the same time. I'm then having to drag them away from their beloved Octonauts/ Go Jetters when we have to eat.
