Where I live, someone living 3 miles away gets access to more physiotherapy than people who live where I do. Many other examples. But I am so against the idea that the healthcare you get should depend on where you live. We should all be entitled to the same.

I agree with you, access to treatment should be equal for all, not some get and others do without and suffer

You're not unreasonable. It has been a problem for a long time, but all the cuts in the past seven years mean that CCGs have to choose how to ration (vital) services, and that leads to vastly different offerings in different areas.

In my area you get one physio appointment. One. You either get an exercise sheet or referred on elsewhere if you need consultant led care. If the exercise sheet doesn't manage your chronic pain then you can go back, but you start again on the waiting list. And the pain management service no longer exists, that now comes under the non existent physio service.

In the closest city you can self refer for up to six sessions of physio, and get seen within a week.
