Picture attached.

I was passing on my way to an event with my DS this morning and saw this.

I wouldn't step foot in there with a name like that!

Do people not think these things through?

Fat Boy's Café near me is very busy, to be fair it's not full of elegant ladies.

Nakedavenger74 · 29/05/2018 11:43

CEX is 'Cheques' right?!

Bibesia · 29/05/2018 11:43

Set foot, not step foot.

Shadow666 · 29/05/2018 11:44

Ah, ok, it is a bed shop.

I think it's pretty funny.

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 29/05/2018 11:45

When l was at secondary school in the early 80’s we weren’t allowed to take Virgin carrier bags into school😂

I quite like Blotchy Cankles, it sounds like something from Harry Potter!

Moonkissedlegs · 29/05/2018 11:46

I don't know if it's still going, but there used to be a clothing chain (think Topshop/Miss Selfridge style) in Australia called... Jizz.

TheOriginalEmu · 29/05/2018 11:47

Isn’t the Harry Enfield character called spudulika?

ReggaetonLente · 29/05/2018 11:47

The dog grooming place near my mum and dad’s is called Doggy Style. Never got why they thought that was a good idea!

mynameyourname · 29/05/2018 11:47

I've occasionally seen 'Fucker' tour buses passing through my town, always a sight to behold! From Germany I think?

I don't think they ever make it to the UK though Grin.

Mumthedogsbeensick · 29/05/2018 11:47

I got a generic email from a clothes shop I've used in the past for dsd clothes which started with the words Hey hun! I unsubscribed immediately.

KreigersClones · 29/05/2018 11:50

CEX is just See-Ee-Ex surely?
I’ve always just said the letters

LampHat · 29/05/2018 12:03

Near my MIL’s there is a dress agency called Sophie’s Choice which makes me sad every time I see it.

There’s also a web design agency called The Website Warehouse - websites what work. You cannot sacrifice grammar just to get your “www” initials in!! Angry

Sidge · 29/05/2018 12:04

I keep seeing vans for a franchise around here called Snap-On.

I always think it says Strap-On.

I guess that says more about me than the franchise...

SheldonandPenny · 29/05/2018 12:43

@Sidge 😁😁😁😁

Vitalogy · 29/05/2018 12:46

CEX is 'Cheques' right?! Is it! I'm still non the wiser Grin

I've occasionally seen 'Fucker' tour buses passing through my town, always a sight to behold! From Germany I think? Is it Focker, like the films Meet the Fockers.

lidoshuffle · 29/05/2018 12:49

I saw a plumber's van for A1 Plumbers, with the legend 'Number one for number twos".

Beneath the driver's side window was a graphic of a man's body with his pants round his ankles sitting on the loo. It looked like the driver was sitting on the bog. Shock Grin

Shadow666 · 29/05/2018 12:56

CeX is pronounced sex.

Whatshallidonowpeople · 29/05/2018 14:09

I'm sure the shop in question will be devastated by your lack of custom Hmm

Bluesheep8 · 29/05/2018 14:14

fruityb is it called legal food because sometimes some Chinese people pronounce the letter R with an L sound and It's actually Regal food and it became nicknamed Legal iyswim?

Elphame · 29/05/2018 14:18

I drove past a restauranbt called "La Poubelle" the other day. Funnily enough I was not tempted.

I haven't shopped in Waterstone's since they dropped their apostraphe

iklboo · 29/05/2018 14:31

There used to be a shop near us called

BED'S, SOFA'S, MATTRESSE'S

mynameyourname · 29/05/2018 14:43

@vitalogy Nope, definitely Fucker.

Fokker is Dutch so not that unusual here in Holland Wink

AngeloMysterioso · 29/05/2018 14:43

I used to work at Fat Face - it's named after the La Face ski slope in France, and when the company started in the 80's apparently a standard ski bum descriptive was 'phat' which they converted to Fat for reasons unknown.

Until about 9/10 years ago it was aiming to be the UK equivalent of Quiksilver or O'Neill, even sponsored a few skiers/surfers and people from other extreme sports. Obviously its target demographic is somewhat different these days (and stuff is considerably more boring than it used to be)

AngeloMysterioso · 29/05/2018 14:45

my personal favourites are Fat Willy's Surf Shack and the Phat Phuc restaurant in Chelsea

mynameyourname · 29/05/2018 14:46

German Fucker tour bus
