What can we do ? We are controlling the pain with paracetamol and ibruprofen which I'm not happy about. She is 12. Has an existing dental problem and we are waiting on removal with sedation

I feel that the infection has flared and she needs antibiotics to get on top of it again.

The dental practice on the campsite isn't picking up. I'd call out of hours but the pain has subsided for now but it came yesterday too.

Really don't know what to do?

Do you think her dentist would issue a prescription over the phone?

Ring 111, they should be able to book an appointment or give you contact details for the nearest emergency dentist.

And no, they won’t issue a prescription over the phone. I have tried!

Or if you think she can wait then wait until tomorrow and ring round the local dentists.

You clearly have internet access and therefore google. You can find local dentists

Araiwa - thanks for your very useful post. I have googled and have rang the ooh bit haven't left a message for a call back because it can wait until tomorrow. It's a different system from where we live (kent). I was hoping so some would post with local knowledge. All she needs is a repeat of the antibiotics (if appropriate) as she won't have any work done here.(they won't if thetes infection

She has an appointment in July for removal but it clearly can't wait that long poor thing.

Somerset is huge..... so hard to tell you exactly where to go.

Call 111 who will make an appointment at Out of hours so you can get a prescription for antiobiotics.

We are near axminster. I think we will wait until tomorrow and try a local dentist.
