Vapers, dog owners and breastfeeders are all offensive in public

Anyone else listening to radio two? I'm not the mortally offended type but I'm pretty astounded at what I've heard

Vaping is annoying when people modify the pipes (or whatever they are) to release lots of smoke which is generally sickly smelling. That is annoying

People who cape in a courteous manner are fine

I have seen a mother openly breastfeeding in public and it didn't bother me. My mother breastfed all six of us. She did use a blanket but when she had to get the baby on she often didn't put the blanket on until the baby was attached. My sister and I "nursed" our dolls because that's what we knew. My second brother was born when my oldest brother was 26 months old. Apparently he was watching Mom feed the new baby and asked nervously, "Is he eating you up?" (Mom reassured him that wasn't possible.) I do not have natural children but would like to do so and I plan to breastfeed. Some babies simply don't tolerate things over their heads and I understand that. We also know that breastfeeding is cheap, lowers risks for certain illnesses for mum and baby, and the milk is actually customised to the baby's needs. Some areas actually have breastmilk banks (mine does) for mothers who can't breastfeed but want their babies to have the benefit of breastmilk. It's especially good for preemies as it lowers the risk for gut infections. The donor mothers are often mothers who have an oversupply but can also include mothers who have lost a baby or placed their baby for adoption. The mum still gets the benefits. Imagine how much money we are potentially SAVING in healthcare costs (due to lower health risks) and welfare costs (don't have to provide as much formula for low-income mums) by having women breastfeed!

I'm more offended by other people's overpowering perfume/ aftershave than vape. And it's infinitely better than cigarette smoke.

My SIL did it every single time we went out anywhere. Hence my post.

So one woman you know did this, not women as a collective group.
