There is some wild stuff going around about missing Melania, from her being a soviet sleeper, whisked back to be deprogrammed; dv, of course, due to T.’s history; she’s left him and taken Barron back to Slovenia; plus a Martha Mitchell scenario. So, my own suspicion was relatively innocuous (and so unimaginative!). But it came from knowing my elderly cousin was released from hospital (ambulant) the day after having a kidney removed (keyhole surgery). No normal person hopes there is some horrific explanation.
However, M. has now not shown her face for so long, of course it has been noted; people have expections of FLOTUS. There is either something more than post op. recovery going on, or she is just doing it deliberately, to exercise some control, to garner attention, or just plain stubborness, who the heck knows. But she is FLOTUS, like it or not, and that means something to Americans. If she doesn't like it, she could go back to loafing around in NY, or get a job. Who knows what goes on in that marriage, what degree of affection there is, but she’s not a hostage to her marriage or the role, and she will be screwing the US taxpayer for SS protection for the rest of her life, anyway. Her parents and sister are all citizens now. If she has made some sort of financial arrangement to stick with T. as FLOTUS for the life of his office, then tough. No amount of money is worth subjecting herself to him, or cheating the American people out of huge sums for all the separate arrangements her whims require. Maybe she should do as MO said and ‘Be Better
