to ask if you too have a small podge when you are seated?

It's my main area of issue. I hate it. I have a podgey bump when I'm seated. When I;m stood my stomach is practically flat with a small bulge.

My podge seems to be above my knicker line when seated.

Please tell me it's normal?

kate It's fuinny you should say what you say... I said to DH the other night, "I'm me. No one else has my scar, my dimples, my flabby bits. There are people out there who'd love to have a body like mine, whilst I'm fretting over looking like a match" Perhaps that's the way forward to to remember, I've got a cracking body, because it's mine and no-one elses.

My son was 8lb11 so maybe that has damaged my skin/muscles?

Does everyone's bulge out from above their knicker line kinda of up and outwards

It used to, but I bought bigger granny knickers and now it sits comfortably inside them.

Most of my fat seems to be concentrated on this area. The podge is massive. I've found high waisted bikinis look good, as do tummy control swimsuits. Also, not giving a fuck helps 😁

My stomach sits on my legs when I sit down despite it being relatively flat when I stand.

Practice sitting up straight, stick your chest out. Bingo, podge reduction because now your abdominal muscles are supporting your body, not relaxed and hanging forward. It's usually relieves lower back ache too.

Mine isn't small.

Better work on it :)

But yes most people unless incredibly muscular or ultra slim has a bit of excess fat.

mayhew You're a genius! Grin

Just how do you trim it down though. My belly, when stood,

I am very skinny, and I still have a slight podge when I sit down. I can't bear to wear anything that presses on it, either, so tend to wear things that sit on my hips instead.

cjt110 · 23/05/2018 16:49

AthenaAshton If I wear anything on my hips it just bloody buldges out even more. I have to wear things that are waist/lower rib height
