To feel hungover 4 days later?

Posting for traffic!

I went out with colleagues on Friday night, first night out in a long time and got a bit mad with it.

Didn't eat much before hand so expected to feel rough but I'm still feeling awful 4 days on?

I've taken gavison, paracetamol, ibuprofen, drank gallons of water and still feel sick and my head is pounding.

DP has (scarily) suggested that I could have had my drink spiked but surely it wouldn't affect me still 4 days after? Surely a hangover shouldn't still be going either! Also on the pill and just finished period so very unlikely to be PG.

Any ideas what could be wrong? Sad

@FenellaMaxwellsPony I had a pretty heavy period in the 7 day pill break this month, that lasted the full 7 days. It would be some miracle for me to be pregnant!

narkedwithanarc · 25/05/2018 10:53

@FenellaMaxwellsPony name change fail Blush oops!

Remember monday is a bank holiday so you may struggle to get a gp appointment.

hellsbellsmelons · 25/05/2018 10:59

You could have got alcohol poisoning.
Definitely see your GP.
This is not normal.
Sugary hydrating drinks for now (ribena.....)
But hopefully there's a simple explanation.

narkedwithanarc · 25/05/2018 11:07

Damn, it would be wouldn't it. I'm going to call now for a phone consultation, probably the best I can do for now. It's definitely not normal!

I think I can possibly rule out alcohol poisoning as my blood pressure etc was fine at GP on Wednesday? She also ruled out a concussion. Not really sure what's going on here Confused

Phoned GP for a phone consultation an hour or so ago, just waiting now!

Have you done a pregnancy test?

narkedwithanarc · 25/05/2018 14:17

@Semster Nope! I don't know if I should? It seems really unlikely so will just be a waste of money

Seriously, do you think you could have fallen at another time apart from off the toilet, without realising it? Could you have knocked your back and/or side? I say this because as a pp has suggested you may have bruised a kidney(s), have a UTI, also the pain can knock your bowels out of action for a while. My DH once fell from a loft ladder onto our laminate floored landing his own stupid fault . He couldn't do a no. 2 for a while after due to the bashing his lower back took.

Hope you get more answers soon. Flowers And fgs don't get so pissed next time, but you know that anyway. Smile

BrazzleDazzleDay · 25/05/2018 14:24

I felt like this a few months ago for a few days, that awful nauseous feeling, tired and sore head. The rest of the family had the d&v bug so I presumed i had it too but my body fought it better

duckles · 25/05/2018 14:28

@liz70 I have no plans to drink that much ever again Grin honestly, can't rule it out but I do only remember the one fall. The pain in my side has only come on within the last day or so, though. Otherwise I've just had continuing headache, dizziness and nausea. Also feel a little off balance?

narkedwithanarc · 25/05/2018 14:29

@liz70 excuse my yet-another name change fail 🤣

narkedwithanarc · 25/05/2018 14:30

@BrazzleDazzleDay It's been a whole week though Sad I'm not getting any better and I'm gaining symptoms!

I'd do it just to rule it out. But I really hope the doc can help - it sounds like you're having a rough time!

GlitteryFluff · 25/05/2018 15:19

Has doctor called back yet?
I'd also do a pregnancy test just to be sure.

narkedwithanarc · 25/05/2018 15:30

@Semster @GlitteryFluff

No call back yet Sad I've now ordered some tests on amazon prime, so I guess I will POAS tomorrow. I'm sure it will be negative but I guess like you say, just to rule it out.

I hope the Dr calls back today because I checked their website and they will be closed Monday.

I had the same.
I was on the pill.
I was pregnant!
Hope whatever it is you feel better.

narkedwithanarc · 25/05/2018 15:42

I've just gone to the toilet and wiped some red blood?!? I'm really worried now. I already finished my period.

OP posts:
liz70 · 25/05/2018 15:43

I'd get to OOH if you can.

SaucyJack · 25/05/2018 15:45

Why don't you just pick up a test from the supermarket on your way home?

At least then you'll know:

WitchDancer · 25/05/2018 15:49

Fingers crossed your doctor can get to the bottom of it all

polkadotpixie · 25/05/2018 15:50

Could you have a kidney infection? It would explain the feeling crappy and pain as well as the blood when wiping

narkedwithanarc · 25/05/2018 15:57

@polkadotpixie blood was from cervix, I double checked in case

I called drs again and they've said I'm still on their call list for today so I'm going to call again if I don't hear by half 4.

I don't finish work until 5 so this hour is going to pass very slowly

narkedwithanarc · 25/05/2018 16:53

GP finally called back and says she thinks headaches etc are post concussive syndrome and the bleeding is likely separate and to keep an eye on it. She thinks it's nothing to worry about.

If symptoms persist over the next week I'm to go back and see them. She also raised the possibility of pregnancy so I guess I will need to do a test. I'm completely terrified Sad

Oh you poor thing. Did the GP test your urine for infection the other day?
