Or if they think the wedding is NEWS then show it exclusively on the NEWS channel and something else on BBC1.

OR, if the BBC feel they have more channels than they can properly make use of... get rid of one.

Does seem daft. Even if all you have is the most basic Freeview you get both Beeb 1 and the News Channel. My dad will be annoyed. How is he gonna watch his Car Boot Antiques /Boring Quiz programmes?

We're watching Al Jazeera. It's the only channel showing actual news.
