My dh is unhappy because he feels folks in the workplace do not accept his leadership. They just do as they please.
He did management training, did not help so much. I think maybe I can help.

What level management is he? Do his ideas have buy in from his senior managers? What management training has he had? Often good management comes down as much to personality as skills.

I think it is called middle management and he is sort of is still in training. So he is working, but he is being mentored. Sorry my English is not very good. He knows his senior managers from school and one is a family member. I think he did courses on team building, mobbing at the workplace, risk management, project management, agile stuff, self management.

He has been working in another place before and there were the same problems.

It might be that he doesn’t have a particularly good style, not enough gravitas or ability to bring people together. These are soft skills and harder to learn on paper. How did he get the job? If his bosses are his mates and family do you think his team might feel he didn’t get the job on merit?

Following wirh interest, my husband needs help with his soft skills as he's progressed to a new management level. We're looking into possible leadership courses or coaching.

If anyone can recommend anything, please PM.

I do not think he has much gravitas, most unfortunately because he is much younger than many of them and he has a nervous twitch, he twitches with his face when he is nervous... but he is very smart and very nice and he treats everybodywith respect.
Actually people have told me thatchers are some people wh do not like it if somebody is to much down-with-them, because they cannot respect him then.
Actually he got the job because he knew somebody, but he is still a very smart and meritful individual.
