taking off bra at home

lollilollipopps · 14/05/2018 17:02

just going off what ivevread on another thread a few days ago, it seems everyone loves to take off thier bra as soon as they're at home as they find it more comfy?
Am I the only person who doesn't ever feel like taking my bra off? I live underwired and very very lightly padded or just thicker material bras, I'm a 36C and don't need padding to look bigger just to give me more coverage.
I find my head very comfy and hardly ever take it off is it just me?

I'm a F cup and I hate having to wear a bra. If I didnt have to wear them, then I wouldnt.

Ellendegeneres · 14/05/2018 18:25

I’m a 34d- as soon as I walk in the door I’m unclipping my bra. They all fit, but I’m comfier without it.

ittybittybobbityboo · 14/05/2018 18:31

For people who don't have any issues wearing a bra all the time, what style of bra are you all wearing??

cupgate · 14/05/2018 18:31

I'm 34F, I only take mine off when I'm going to bed. I don't like the feeling of them wobbling about unrestrained and I'm worried about getting a whack to the nipple when DS climbs all over me!

SaucyJack · 14/05/2018 18:38

I wear a bra all the time now.

"Proper" underwired ones for leaving the house in, and soft cup Ines for home and bed.

I think it's personal taste rather than size. Mine are very average, but I don't like the flobbling all over the place thing.

Sparklesocks · 14/05/2018 18:46

I take mine off when I get in, it’s a bit like taking my shoes off. My bras aren’t really uncomfortable as such, I think it’s more psychological like I feel I’m comfortable at home.

At weekends if it’s just me and DP at home I won’t even put one on. It’s just a nice feeling

Treaclepie19 · 14/05/2018 18:48

I'm a 32D and only wear mine in the day. Once it's the evening and I'm not going out it comes off.

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 14/05/2018 18:52

I refuse to wear a bra at home, hate the fecking things. I resent having to wear one at work and whip it off through my sleeve as soon as I'm through the front door. If it wasn't for work I doubt I'd even own any!

nooka · 14/05/2018 18:53

I wear a bra once in a blue moon because I hate the feeling of the strap round my ribs. Have been fitted the old way and used bra intervention measurements too and while I can recognize that some bras fit better than others and that a good bra gives me cleavage and a much better silhouette after about half an hour I've had enough.

DaisysStew · 14/05/2018 18:57

nooka that’s what it is with me - I can feel the band on my ribs. I used to be fine wearing them (always underwired as well) but when I was pregnant my ribs expanded and ever since I can stand them.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 14/05/2018 18:57

Mine stays on until I undress for shower/bed. I'm a 34G. I have a theory that the bigger the ribcage you have, 44+, the more options you have to wear or not wear a bra as you choose.

A good fit makes all the difference, definitely agree with that.

Gottagetmoving · 14/05/2018 18:58

It might also be to do with lying/ reclining on the sofa, because when I work a late shift finishing at 9pm I'm unaware of my bra at work and don't notice any discomfort! Maybe people who don't remove them have good posture and sit up straight in the evening!

Wow, ...I didn't think of that. I'm the same! Comfy enough all day but bloody awful in the evening, cutting into me! I have to unfasten it or take it off.

MealyPotatoes · 14/05/2018 18:59

My bra is generally comfy so once it’s on it stays on until bedtime. I do sometimes go without but I’m a wonky 32E so it only tends to be if I can cover up with a baggy hoody or something. I also don’t like the feel of my boobs chafing against my rib cage.

The only time I’m relieved to get out of my bra at the end of the day is when my period is due and my boobs feel massive and achey.

Bluntness100 · 14/05/2018 19:03

I am mixed.

I have comfy bras and not comfy bras. The comfy ones for example now I am wearing a glossard glossy. I can hardly feel it. I have other bras which are more structured and less comfortable.

At home, I either wear a vest under clothes or a soft bra like a glossy. In the morning I have a vest and no bra as that's my pyjama top, but I either wear a tight vest and something over the top like a long sleeved t shirt or a soft bra, depends on how warm it is, when I get dressed.

I wouldn't wear a glossy to work as it's rather nippely but a more structured bra, which I would take off as soon as I got home and put the glossy or whatever on,,or a vest.

TheMasterNotMargarita · 14/05/2018 19:08

In my younger days I never needed one so it wasn't an issue.
Now I'm rather more saggy well endowed they need some structure. It doesn't feel natural to me.
I walk in though the door, coat off, shoes off, bra off. Sometimes it's everything and straight into my comfy jammies if I'm not going anywhere.

Eolian · 14/05/2018 19:09

I'm uncomfortable without a bra. Mine are all underwired (except my sports bras) but are all comfortable. I'm fine in bed without one, but I'd hate the feeling of them swinging around if I were walking around the house.

UtterlyRainbowed · 14/05/2018 19:14

30J I hate taking my bra off. I love my bra it's so comfy

SadieHH · 14/05/2018 19:15

Definitely better off. There's some truth in the posture thing. It doesn't bother me during the day, only when I flop on the sofa. I'm the same with clothes though, have to change into something looser when I get home but I have a lot of sensory things going on.

Eliza9917 · 14/05/2018 19:17

As long as we haven't got guests and I've finished going out then I don't have a bra on. It comes off as soon as I'm in.

Eliza9917 · 14/05/2018 19:17

If someone came round I'd get dressed properly again.

clumsyduck · 14/05/2018 19:18

Yeh I don't get this either , I HATE not wearing a bra .!!! There not overly big but I find it majorly uncomfortable and hate the feeling !!

Racecardriver · 14/05/2018 19:21

I can't go braless comfortably anymore but I used to go braless at home before I started breastfeeding.

whatisforteamum · 14/05/2018 19:23

34B and comfy bras from M and S.I love taking my shoes off though.

Vitalogy · 14/05/2018 19:26

I wear these soft comfort type bras at home, it was a revelation to me when I first discovered them.
