taking off bra at home

lollilollipopps · 14/05/2018 17:02

just going off what ivevread on another thread a few days ago, it seems everyone loves to take off thier bra as soon as they're at home as they find it more comfy?
Am I the only person who doesn't ever feel like taking my bra off? I live underwired and very very lightly padded or just thicker material bras, I'm a 36C and don't need padding to look bigger just to give me more coverage.
I find my head very comfy and hardly ever take it off is it just me?

sorry OP I'm in hysterics at you finding your head comfortable

very glad you do though Grin

AmazingPostVoices · 14/05/2018 17:47

I have always suspected that people who take their bras off the minute they get home are simply wearing the wrong size.

^^ This. There’s nothing uncomfortable about my bra. I don’t even notice it and I’m not small chested.

On the other hand I’m always amazed at the number of MNers whose day clothes are soooo uncomfortable that they whip on PJs as soon as they walk through the door. Confused (perhaps the same people?)

I don’t understand why they are wearing uncomfortable clothes in the first place?

pigsDOfly · 14/05/2018 17:48

Yep, I try to keep my head on as much as possible too.

katseyes7 · 14/05/2018 17:49

l'm a 36D and the only time l put a bra on is if l'm going out. As soon as l get back in the door, it's off again!

FrangipaniBlue · 14/05/2018 17:53

34D/DD and I only wear a bra when I leave the house, have even been known to go out without one depending what I'm wearing...

I get measured more or less every time I go shopping for new bras and in various places so I'm pretty confident I'm wearing the right size, I just don't find them comfortable for long periods of time.

Same rules apply to knickers Grin

MyBreadIsEggy · 14/05/2018 17:54

I’m a 28DD and remove my bra the second I’m in the door.
I hate wearing what I call a “real bra” and tend to wear sports-type crop top things whenever my outfit allows for it.
Small norks = let them be free Grin

I don't think this is always true - I'm a wonderfully fitting bra but at a 32J it's a lot to hold up all day! Taking mine off when I get in gives my shoulders and back a break

catinapatchofsunshine · 14/05/2018 17:57

I've never been measured for a bra, and I've had breasts since 1986 Grin

I just try lots on til I find the right fit if I've been through a pregnancy/ stopped breastfeeding/ think I've changed size for any reason.

Do most people really get measured regularly? Where?

PookyHook · 14/05/2018 17:57

I only take mine off for sleeping. I'm a 30H and I feel really uncomfortable with them swinging about.

I want to invest in a really good sleep bra so that I can wear one in bed. I'm waiting for the bravissimo non-padded one to come back in stock.

I do love putting my pyjamas on as soon as I'm in the house for good though.

SandyY2K · 14/05/2018 17:58

I take mine off when I go to bed. I can't wear underwired bras, they caused me to develop lumps, so my non underwired ones are comfortable.

somanyfeministsthesedays · 14/05/2018 17:58

One of the best feelings in the world taking my bra off when I get home 😂

CryingMessFFS · 14/05/2018 17:59

I always wear a bra. I find it really uncomfortable not to wear one, I just feel exposed and my nips are quite sensitive so I like them in a bra at pretty much all times! I have one I sleep in Blush which I suppose loads of people would find weird but I’m comfy in it, to each their own and all that.

Kidssendingmenuts · 14/05/2018 18:00

I know my day is done when I can take off my bra and let them keep my knees warm!! It's a done thing!

morningperson · 14/05/2018 18:02

Agree with OP (and same size). Cannot stand being braless. Not even at bedtime. i love underwired M&S unpadded ones and they're so comfy.

Laiste · 14/05/2018 18:03

34GG here. I sit curled up sideways in the evening and sometimes the wires start to rub on my ribs a bit so it'll come off. But only if i'm not going anywhere except up to bed after wards.

Bra goes on in the morning even at the crack of dawn just to pop down to the kitchen or the loo. I can't bare them doing their own thing!

FASH84 · 14/05/2018 18:04

I'm only a 34 b and can't even pass a pencil test, I often wear a bralet or lacy crop top rarely an underwire so always assumed it was the more sumptuously endowed ladies who had this need/relief. I tend to wear mine until bed time but they're not structured so no discomfort.

lollilollipopps · 14/05/2018 18:13

Thank God I'm not alone, I too don't like the idea of them playing about and they do flat about Blush. also have very sensitive and big nipples (Tmi, sorry) and the thought of them rubbing against my clothes or anything at all is dreadful.
I keep my bra on in bed most of the time too.

oh god the amount of mistakes in my posts.
sorry I'm on a phone that I don't usually use.

AmazingPostVoices It depends om what you wear whilst out/for work and what you do at home.

I get changed into Lounge wear. I like to sit cross legged on the couch. It's cheaper than m,y day clothes, so if they get stained etc, I don't mind. I'm clumsy when I'm cleaning, or doing anything. I wear the pants with cuffed ankles.

When I was younger I didn't take my bra off, since I turned 48, two years ago, I now do.

RoboticSealpup · 14/05/2018 18:18

I've stopped wearing bras and just put on a vest instead. However I'm an AA and can still wear training bras even though I'm 36.

IceSwan · 14/05/2018 18:19

My boobs feel too heavy like a weight pulling on my chest without a bra

DaisysStew · 14/05/2018 18:19

I’m an A cup and don’t wear an underwire bra but I still can’t stand the feckers especially when it’s warm. Generally I don’t wear them unless I’m going to work.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 14/05/2018 18:21

I've never understand the taking off of the bra as soon as you get home. Mine is taken off when I have a bath before bed.

Amummyatlast · 14/05/2018 18:21

I'm only small, so only wear a bra when out of the house as it gives me more shape. It comes off as soon as I get home. My sister, on the other hand, is huge, and rarely takes it off. So it may be a size thing.

FoxySamanthaPetersonTheCat · 14/05/2018 18:22

I’m a 34h and even though the bras I have now are far more comfortable than my old ones I still whip it off when I come home. Habit I suppose now. Wouldn’t ever go out without it though. Jealous of those who can Envy
