To wonder if a quick flash of boob is going to hurt anyone?

Me and DP surf he surf's, I'm completely shit so this means we spend a lot of time getting changed in beach car parks.

I was thinking today... WIBU to stop struggling to cover my boobs when changing and just quickly whip my top off and pop my bra back on in the car park?

I wear a high necked top under my wetsuit and struggling out the wettie and the top under a changing robe then trying to get a bra on with really achey biceps is a bloody faff and takes ages and usually results in a lot of swearing. I also sometimes need DPs help to pull the shoulders of my wetsuit down which makes covering up really hard.

As I was struggling today and saw DP quickly amd easily yank down the top half of his wetsuit I thought maybe I should just do the same in future.

What do we think?

Of and obviously wear a button up shirt if you want to use your towel poncho thing.

Thisnamechanger · 13/05/2018 19:59

racecar they don't bother me at all but apparently other people have quite strong feeling on it so I'll stick to soft bras. The idea of wearing pasties under my clothes to cover my own nipples from people just feels ridiculous.

Shall I link you into my sunbathing topless thread OP

Oh dear, did it go off?? Pretty sure my nipples one has been wiped now but I was pretty amazed by some people's responses!

I’d flash a boob if it was easier.

My dad does open water swimming and I bought him a ‘dry robe’ which he says is the best thing ever and all his friends were jealous until they caved in and bought one too! Maybe worth a look if you are self conscious

I have one, it's good for lower body but still a ballache for getting rash vest off/bra on

I'd bung T-shirt on quickly then a strapless bra to keep your pesky nips under control!

Branleuse · 13/05/2018 20:12

i am so over the whole struggling with a towel to be modest at the beach. It really fucks me off.
I dont sunbathe topless or naked, but i will take my bikini top off and put a bra on quickly now without faffing around with towels.
If someone gets a momentary glance of my breast, then im sure they can live with it

CFTrollsSmell · 13/05/2018 20:17

I've always gone for a quick flash. I'll even flash my bum very quickly. I'm as quick and subtle as possible but it's so much easier than faffing around with towels.

Namesallgone18 · 13/05/2018 20:18

If nipples show through any clothing, won’t they also show through the bra? Confused
It is quaint that the sensibilities of the people in the coffee shop are considered more than the people in the carpark! Face the car and just do it fast.
(This won’t work if it’s a low car!)

FreeButtonBee · 13/05/2018 20:18

I’d do it. Just angle your body so you’re facing into the car with the door open. Much faster

PiggeryPorcombe · 13/05/2018 20:20

eBay

But this would just draw attention to your car park shenanigans and I expect you’d emerge to a crowd of curious onlookers expecting The Doctor or something.

I’d just risk a quick flash of boob. Only twats would have an issue imo.

Mumsnut · 13/05/2018 20:26

You can get a pop up changing tent from Amazon for about £20.

Fluffyears · 13/05/2018 20:30

Strapless bra, t shirt on the strapless bra under t shirt to keep your attention seeking under control 😂

In our house we’ll say ‘Ooft you could hang your coat on then!’

Go for it op.

If you get numerous pearl clutching arseholeshecklers, or people reaching for smelling salts, rethink. But I bet you don't, most people really don't care.

Notevilstepmother · 13/05/2018 20:37

Go bra less and shove a light scarf over your “headlights” when you go for coffee? Comfy and easy.

To wonder if a quick flash of boob is going to hurt anyone?
HeyDuggee24 · 13/05/2018 20:42

We use the pop up changing tent. Just makes the whole changing experience so much easier. I can fully strip off, dry and dress. Simples.

Thisnamechanger · 13/05/2018 20:43

The scarf tip is a really good one, thanks

I think that, despite what MN would like you to think, a lot of people will find that offensive.

I’ve done the changing out of a wetsuit for years (diving rather than surf) and as a group, we’ve had enough comments from the public to know we need to be careful (incl men showing a fash of a bottom for example)

I would put a bra underneath the rash vest (they are usually very stretchy), remove the rash vest and put a t-shirt on.

RJnomore1 · 13/05/2018 20:47

I'm 36dd with perky nipples now that is attention seeking. They even perk though padded bras sometimes. Don't worry about it apparently now people are getting surgery to have perms erect nipples so you and I are just ahead of the curve.

I still don't get why no one bats an eyelid at a topless man but a topless woman is 'offensive' and 'common'.

edwinbear · 13/05/2018 21:00

I spend a lot of time on Dover beach as a cross Channel swimmer. We are so cold when we get out we often lose the dexterity in our hands, so getting dressed quickly, (as we need to in order to warm up), is a nightmare. Plenty of women flashing boobs and nobody even notices let alone objects.

Sprinklesinmyelbow · 13/05/2018 21:15

A cross channel swimmer? How exciting!! Did you do it once or a regular thing?

dadshere · 13/05/2018 21:17

Do you have mesmerising tattos on your boobs which may ensnare unwary passers by? If not, go for it, perfectly acceptable on the beach/carpark area. Probably less so in Sainsburys. If someone is offended by a flash of boob, it is their problem, not yours. I am actually impressed that you have gotten out of a wetsuit without flashing already, I don't think I could.
